What kind of store owner keeps an employee with no personality and no customer service skills in a customer service job. Coopers had been my sole location to go for about 14 years. I will never give that abomination my business again. I keep trying to buy a vape battery. I had purchased 3 there and at most they only last a cartridge or two. I've tried different kinds. They keep dying so I ordered something they didn't have online. Their in store selection is really poor and what was recommended as their best product looked like a cheap happy meal toy and would break if you dropped it. I decided to just buy the cheapest option at $12. It stopped holding a charge in less than 24 hours. I retuned to the store and the sales girl admitted they were a bad product and tried to claim it was my fault for buying a $12 vape. I expected it to at least last a week till my order came in the mail, it didn't last 24 hrs. If they know it's a faulty product they should stop selling it and not blame me for buying it. They tried to do an exchange but with each experience at Coopers being very poor I don't want to support that store anymore. I will support stores that don't knowingly sell faulty products and don't hire rude staff.

I frequent KC a few times a year and have had Fidel's on my list of cigar spots to visit. This time I had the chance and I'm so glad I didn't. Nestled in the heart of the eclectic West Port neighborhood is this funky little cigar joint that has a very good selection of sticks, a quaint lounge and best of all just good folks running the shop and chill peeps enjoying. Jason was the man in charge of the evening and he made the experience just that much more memorable. Well versed in tobacco we vibed and he highly recommended I try a Sans Pareil cigar...I'm embarrassed to say I had not heard of this brand, but I'm happy to have been introduced to it. I chose the Red which is a torpedo with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper and Dominican filler and binder. I'll fast forward to say, from my pic you'll see I smoked it to the nub and nearly burned my fingers - yes, it was that good. Once well lit with a house complimentary cedar stick it burned evenly throughout and held a great ash. Just a very well made cigar. On item of note - it's BYOB! No corking fee. So, one tip - walk over to the local Sun Fresh market, which is a mere two blocks away, and is well stocked with beer, wine, and a decent selection of liquor. That's right, inside the supermarket you'll find the necessary goodies to complement your stick. Then just make your way back and enjoy your time at Fidel's. I'll be back soon Fidel's!

What is interesting is I spent almost $900 at the store, so you would think he would at least have acted human and with common courtesy and common sense. Very disappointing. People say midwesterners are nice (I am from California and we are not nice lol). The person at this store, who made a lot of money and should have been overjoyed, was completely rude and not nice. Also, I got my items home to California and realized that three items were past their expiration date! Nothing I can do from 2000 miles away obviously.
