I played tag with the owner (Eric) for several months. We weren't in an emergency situation just wanted the door lock to work do I specifically said, "No Rush!!" I was waiting for my convenience. Then, of course on the eve of Christmas Eve ... it all went south. I called Ograms and asked to be put on their schedule, right after New Years. Eric's brother/partner, Randall, texted me and set up for today (2 Jan 24). He confirmed and showed up on time ... greatly appreciated!! Nice guy!! Got to work immediately and solved the problem!! I don't just do YELP Reviews because I think doing your job doesn't need to be reviewed. Ograms Locksmith did their job and then some!! My house is 85 years old and that includes the front door lockset. You have to really know what you're doing because you can't just buy parts. (Side trip: the last guy who looked at this lock said it was an easy fix, he just had to find the part. That was easily 4 years ago ... he stopped returning calls most likely because he ran out of bogus excuses!!) Randall took the whole lockset apart and found the alleged missing part. He was able to readjust it and got it all working!! Randall has an interesting little habit of talking himself through the process. As it all went back together I heard him say, "Ohhh, yeah!! Eric is very professional, knowledgeable and straight to the point. I took my family out to clearlake this past weekend. We came up from Vacaville so there's a little bit of distance. We arrive at our campsite, spend a couple of hours setting up. When it was time to move my old escalade to its permanent parking space, the darn key would not turn the ignition. The ignition was frozen would not turn would not do anything. I called a couple of friends at the dealer to see if they could give me any ideas as to what could be wrong. We all came up with the same diagnosis, the ignition was bad and it needed to be replaced. ($800+ at the dealer) That meant I needed to have my truck towed to the nearest dealer and hope they could get the part and the work done before Sunday so I could drive home. That's when I called a couple of locksmith in the area. One just kept giving me the run around not sure if he could do anything with it. Then I found Ograms Locksmith. Eric answered right away, I explained to him my problem. Right away to quoted me a price $70 for the service call $30 for a brand new set of keys, if that did not work he would replace the ignition for an additional $50 for the part. He also said he could be here in 45 minutes. He showed up right on time handed me his card and got to work right away. He got the job done in 20 minutes or so did not to replace the ignition, all I needed was new keys made because of the age of my car the original keys were worn out. $100 for a new set of keys sounds ridiculous but this man got me out a bind in the middle of nowhere and I was able to enjoy my camping trip with my family.
