I was very unpleasant to travel with this agency from Puerto Rico. We payed for a tour trip that…read morewas the worst. It was a terrible experience where we hardly could enjoy the places visited because of their poor planification and the lack of good services. When we arrived at the airport no one was there to receive us, we had to weight a long time for a driver to show up. Hotels were far from the tourist attractions making us to spend more money and time dealing with taxi drivers. The programmed meals consists of mostly bad food. The tour guide spoke with a Turkish accent difficult to understand. Almost daily for almost 13 days we arrived to a different hotel, some with out elevators, some with dirty rooms, having to carry our own luggage. The buss driver was exposed to long and far driving hours making him exhausted and at times driving in dangerous ways. The agency was previously notified that persons with disabilities where going to travel in the group, they showed minimal consideration. At times our visits to historic places, included and paid for previously as part of the tour, was cancelled in the last minute to be offered another day for an extra fee. To some of us the taxi transference service from hotel to hotel and from hotel to airport that was included as part of the tour didn't showed up, we almost loose the flight returning home. At the airline counter, returning home, the air line travel agent didn't find the passengers information to expedite boarding passes, some travelers had to buy new airline tickets. For this reasons I will not make business with Hectours PR again and I don't recommend it's services..

The owner/tour guide is great. He is extremely informative and friendly. The tour is well worth the money, and we are so glad we got to explore the fort on Segway instead of on foot. It was extremely hot, and riding/driving the Segway is the way to go. You get the breeze AND don't have to walk that long stretch to the fort. I would highly recommend this to EVERYONE. It's soo easy to learn how to ride the Segway. It may be intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it, it's sooo much fun. My biggest recommendation to the owner is that to give better instructions on how to find the place. I was sooo confused where exactly the location was.

One of…read morethe first things we did was go on a Segway tour across Old San Juan to learn about the history of Puerto Rico. However, before we get going on our segways, we get a basic training and safety course from the tour guide. -My travel companion masters it right away -I, on the other hand, struggle a bit as I'm steering too much and then realize to put less effort into it and then get it. After I make a fool of myself, we go on our way and she shows us a bit of the pier and explains why the houses have no numbers, go to a fort and then tour a lot of Old San Juan. We covered a lot of ground and going over the bumps was fun. Unfortunately, we ran into rain, so we had to wait a bit and this delayed our tour. Luckily, we were the only people for the day. Just riding on the segway was so much fun, but the tour guide was really knowledge and seeing the fort was so cool. I love seeing old war stuff (even though I'm totally anti-gun). We enjoyed it so much that when we walked around Old San Juan, we were thinking "we need that damn segway back!!!" Overall, great time.

Everyone and all food was absolutely great! We had Pablo as our guide who was so fun and friendly. He gave us the whole run down on everything and every place. He has a true talent for what he does. The group was small, there was about 6 of us. I believe groups don't get too large, maybe around 10 people. Which is nice because no one gets lost or unheard. I highly recommend this tour!

You'd get a text message reminder a day before the tour and they would ask if you have food restrictions or allergies. You'd also get a reminder where the meeting spot is. We met at Banco Popular, introduced ourselves and went our merry way to the 5 different food spots. Pablo ordered the food before hand so that when the group arrived at the different restaurants/places, the food was ready and we did not have to wait that long. Our first stop was Cafe Cuatro Sombras where we had coffee and croissant ham/provolone cheese/guava butter. I liked this croissant with a hint of tanginess/sweetness from the guava. Noncoffee drinkers had options of lemonade and tea. Second stop was Señor Paleta. There's no indoor seating here so we had the delicious parcha (passion fruit) popsicle. Yum! Very refreshing, great for this warm weather! Third stop was Cafe El Punto. This place has a lot of artwork by local artists. We had ceviche de pescado and alcapurrias de la casa which were nice. Fourth stop was El Patio de Sam where we "made" our own mofongo. We had fried plantains and garlic butter, mashed them in a mortar and pestle, and added the chicken before turning the mortar upside down to get the mofongo. This was flavorful and had more moisture compared to another mofongo we had. Last stop for dessert was Vaca Brava. We had flan which was nice. We enjoyed the food, the tour, and the conversations. Great experience here.
