I really love Oh Mys and have gone here since I moved to Northampton- and my experiences have been nothing but positive. Until the person working yesterday. When I was making small talk asking if it was their busiest week (with smithie move in). They responded "there's this thing called Valentine's Day. I know you think the world revolves around smith, but it doesn't". I played it off but was pretty taken aback. I didn't imply that it did...but a small business in downtown of a college town? Doesn't it like greatly impact business? It was just rude. I'm sure college kids can be obnoxious but as someone that works in retail I thought it was not cool. I asked my friends if they had met them at all, and they said yeah she's been the only rude employee as well. Every other employee has been absolutely incredible! Awful service. Don't recommend! Worst experience at a sex shop ever! The worker accused me of offending them when I just was trying my hardest to be nice and said it wasn't the first time they corrected someone on how to treat a worker. Personally, I apologised for anything I could've done for offending them and they kept telling me I offended them by trying my hardest to politely just say the box is behind them. By no means was I trying to insult someone visually impaired like they said I did. Made the whole experience uncomfortable because they said I'm not the first they have had to tell this to. This is the most awesome toy store I have ever been in. Comfortable. Non-sketchy. Well stocked and carry some things I have never found ANYWHERE else. (Including locally made handicrafts from local kinksters.) Videos, toys, lube, condoms, fetish gear both of the starting and the more well seasoned varieties. Things that would be good for solo flights and play with a friend or special partner. Things that will make you go "I NEVER would have thought of that!" The staff is friendly.. Knowledgeable. The employees were very friendly and helpful, but they have some really low quality products. I bought something from them the other day and it stopped working after the first use. The sample they had on the floor was pretty finicky too, but I thought it was just from people testing it so much. I tried calling the store to ask if I can get an exchange for another product or get a refund, however they denied my request. I do realize that they have a no return policy and to ask a lot of questions before buying, but I asked the employee I was working with plenty of questions and he had only good things to say about the product. I guess he never actually tried it or was being dishonest. All in all, they're employees are friendly but I don't think I would ever shop there again because of the quality of their products. read more

This place is a gem. Staff are respectful, friendly, and knowledgable. They will answer your questions but also give you space. They are women-centered and friendly towards LGBTQ folks. The only drawback is the space is small so if you're a little shy and other customers are there it's hard to get privacy.
