So I'm back! It's been around 6 months since my last bad experience here and I must admit that I…read moredid miss the sushi here.g last review was about how bad my experience was. I came back because I really did miss their sushi and that hubby convinced me to give this place yet another chance. If you haven't read the last review, let's just say that it wasn't because of the food, but rather the service. This time around it was a completely new staff and it was great!!! It used to be an all waitresses but now it was only waiters. They were so polite, professional and so helpful! The sushi, like all the previous times I've came here, was delicious!!! So in my opinion, if the owner can have consistency in the service, this place will become once again my go-to sushi restaurant in the South Shore. So happy that it's all good again like it was before my previous BAD service experience. The sushi and the quality/freshness of the dish is amazing!

We were out on the south shore around dinner time and we followed the 4.5 star review this…read morerestaurant gets on Yelp. We took a chance. Once seated, I followed our waiter's advice to try the chef's choice. I was served a litany of finger food, sometimes served on the strangest of vessels, the mixture of flavours in each dish so complicated that I couldn't really identify what it is I was eating. The shape changed - and was sometimes pretty - but the taste stayed pretty much the same: cloyingly sweet, and bland in a bizarre way. I ended the meal with sticky fingers and a nauseating feeling that i had been taken for a ride. The decor reflects the same lack of direction as the kitchen, with Thai buddhas cohabiting with classic izakaya lanterns (some are beer adverts), Chinese windbreakers, and various vaguely asian trinquets and prints on the wall. The chopsticks are not even Japanese. On the glasses and the sleeves of the waiters you'll find a "勝" proclaiming, I suppose, the "win" this restaurant is aiming for??? It reminded me of those people who get a Chinese word tattooed on their arm or chest thinking it was a wise and ancient one-word proverb only to find out later it actually means "water" (or worse). "Win" indeed... The only somewhat bright side was the ever enthusiastic server who was singing the praise of each plate as he was serving them. I was at first on the verge of finding him annoying, but at least he was entertaining. In the end I kind of felt a pang of guilt for his efforts as I was going from one disappointment to the next. I think he knows what he is serving. The first and only star of this review is for his hard work (also, you can't give a zero star review). All in all it was disgusting, heavy on the stomach and the wallet (150$+ for two once all was said and done, no wine, as it is a BYOW), and I'm definitely never going again. Nor should you. Now, I'm not sure what's wrong with people who think they can call their place a sushi restaurant when all they serve is a mishmash of pretentious ... let's stay polite and call it "stuff" ... slathered with some kind of spicy sweet mayonnaise, and served on or with something crunchy in a cocktail glass. I understand the need to attract people who are still not quite comfortable - in 2022 - with the idea of eating raw fish, but this is extreme. Oh, and spare me the maple syrup to try and appeal to the "eating local" crowd. Sushi is about the fish, if you're not able to serve good fish, and insist on serving that Americanized crap, spare us and just call your restaurant something else. I hear "fusion" is a popular word.

I had gone here for lunch while in the south shore shortly after 1130am. I had to ask if they were…read moreopen as there was no patrons in the restaurant. The server said yes they were open and brought me to a nice seat by the front window. I had the lunch special of 6 pieces of roll, 4 nigiri and 3 sashimi as well as I had added a hamachi roll as well. I was given a choice of soup or salad to start so I went with the miso soup. As I was waiting for my lunch lots of people starting showing up and the place was suddenly packed. Several groups and couples all came in at once and there was a couple others coming in for take out. It took a while for my server to return which was understandable as how busy it suddenly became. My lunch was great. It was a very nice mix of different rolls, nigiri and a few pieces of sashimi. The added roll was also put on my plate as well. The quality of the rolls was very good as I would expect to see in a made to order a la carte type menu. The presentation was nice as well. I had only one tiny issue and it was I could have done with more than a pinch of wasabi. Besides that everything just right and I almost couldn't finish it all. The quality was very good and the prices were in line with what I was expecting. I enjoyed this lunch a lot and I would return.

It didn't blow my mind. Walking into this place for a business luncheon, i noted that the interior…read moredesign is very nice... airy even, perfect for a lunch with friends (new friends). The wait staff was very friendly, clean, and helpful. The sushi was nothing extraordinary. I thought it was rather fresh, for a sushi spot in the outskirts of Montreal (an industrial area of Longueuil), and the place had some very interesting interpretations of rolls. Deep fried dragon rolls, a roll with red eggs, ahi, shrimp and carrots... all in all, not BAD, but some of the flavor combinations were certainly questionable. We ordered a large tray of a variety of sushi, and each of us had a salad or miso soup. The salad had a nice peanut-ginger dressing -- a highlight.
