We had 6 of the cereal donuts delivered for a late night snack. The cake donut itself is delish! I think I could eat it plain regularly and be just as happy as if it had icing or glaze. The flavor and texture would be perfect with a good cup of coffee. We didn't give this a 5 star review because of the toppings. We had a selection of 6 cereal topped donuts. The cereal was very stale and chewy. Disappointing because I LOVE cereal. I'm not sure if these donuts were made earlier in the day or topped prior to delivery, but definitely won't get with cereal again. I scraped most of it off. We wanted to try something new for breakfast, so decided to cross Ohana off or bucket list. We were so happy to see that Ohana has online ordering and curbside pickup, since we're still trying to distance during Covid. Ordering was easy through the website; we were able to pick from a variety of icing and topping combos, and pay in advance by card. Online ordering appears to be at least 30 mins in advance, or can be scheduled for later, which makes sense for customized creations. When we arrived, we called the number as directed, and our donuts were delivered to our car in no time. What fun and fancy treats! Everyone loved their picks. I'm especially glad we tried the Ohana... Its flavors instantly transported me from this overcast Indiana day to memories of my last trip to the islands. I fully expected the toppings to be tasty, but when it comes to donut shops that have such elaborate toppings, I have to admit that I don't usually expect much from the donut underneath. Man, did I have a Ohana pegged wrong. Located at the corner of 116th and Brooks School Road, Ohana Donuts & Ice Cream is a locally, family-owned shop that offers a variety of donuts, ice cream, and coffee options. While Ohana is located on the corner, you should be aware that you'll need to turn off of Brooks School Road to get to this particular strip center. I made the mistake of turning past the entry thinking there'd be a drive-in directly off of 116th. I'd been wanting to check out Ohana since reading reviews by several of my favorite Yelpers. However, I don't live particularly close and between daily life and COVID I simply haven't had the chance. On this nice September Sunday, I finally decided to take my afternoon and drive up. They have a couple of accessible parking spots at the other end of their strip center by the liquor store. There's an older but still decent curb cut. The front entry is a glass door. Ohana is relatively small. I'll admit I was expecting a different kind of decor given the name. There are several tables. You go toward the back of the store. If you're ordering donuts, you grab an order form and select your toppings. I didn't figure this out until it was too late, though they were perfectly nice about it. You don't have to grab an order form for ice cream or coffee. While the Yelp page states they're limiting customers, this didn't seem to be true. However, I will note that tables are distanced and per state mandate masks are required and were worn by customers and employees. Everyone seemed to be respecting distances. Additionally, it appeared to be largely a group of kids after a sporting event. Every table was taken and there were people standing. They also do have some outdoor seating off the curb (there's one bench directly in front of the store). I at first thought they were out of donuts as the front cabinet only had donut holes in them. However, it appears they make them on order. The donuts are vanilla cake with your choice of a variety of glaze and topping options. I ordered three chocolate glazed. I also ordered a large iced coffee. My order was a bit over $8. As there were no table options, I somewhat struggled to carry my box of 3 donuts and cup out the door, though eventually a customer did help by getting the door. I'd wished I'd grabbed napkins as you could tell the donuts were freshly made and the chocolate was a bit messy (Okay, I get part of the blame). The donuts were good, not great. Now that I understand the system a bit better I might do things a bit differently. It seemed like ice cream was much more popular (though it was around 2pm). They also have a Donut Sundae that sounds amazing. The iced coffee, on the other hand, was perfect. It was smoother than a lot of iced coffees and I'd give it a nod over the near by Dunkin Donuts (though I do like that DD's large size is more generous). The iced coffee really hit the spot. Ohana only opened in February 2020 - certainly not the ideal time to open up a new business in this weird new world. However, it's clear they've found a special place in the community and it was nice to see teh community's support even if it meant I couldn't necessarily sit there and enjoy it on-site. This was a good experience, easily a 4-star but definitely not a 5-star at this point. Now that I understand how things work, I'll be a little more settled when I return (and I will). I definitely want to try an ice cream option next time and I'll likely experiment a bit with coffee options. I'm not quite ready to call this a destination spot, but it's an incredibly good neighborhood option and if you're in the Fishers area it's definitely worth your time to get quality donuts, coffee, or ice cream and to experience the community of Ohana. read more

First things first you have to enjoy the fried crispy outside before picking this place! These donuts are tasty! They are decorated fresh and served to you warm. The outside is crispy and the inside is dense and moist, perfect combo. I love the decorate your own donut option too! It is a nice addition for kids who can't pick just one topping or are very specific about colors or flavors. As well as the fact they have cold drink/treat options for those that don't like such heavy donuts. I love this donut shop! The online ordering process is super easy, allowing you to pick from tons of options (icing flavor, toppings like crushed Oreos, and icing drizzles). You can also order coffee, ice cream and Dole Whip this way. Submit your order and pay online (my half dozen pictured here was just a little over $10), then just swing by and pick up inside at the counter. They also offer curbside service for people who aren't comfortable going inside. You can also order inside using a paper order form that you fill out and hand to them. A new addition in 2020 to the east side of Fishers is Ohana Donuts. This family owned and friendly business offers cake donuts made to order. If you have ever been to Quack Daddy Donuts in Pendleton, this has a similar concept: Pick up an order form along the wall on the right and fill it out by choosing the icing and topping for each donut, turn it in, pay, and then wait a short while for your donut to be ready. Note that the icing is put on hot, which is necessary for the topping to stick, so it will take a few minutes for the icing to set. You can eat it right away if you don't mind sticky fingers, but if you wait just a little while, the donuts become much easier to handle. So, grab some napkins if you are in a rush. I suppose that folks who don't like cake donuts will be disappointed, but this isn't any different from the concept like Nothing Bundt Cakes where you only get one type of cake (though in many flavors.) So, understand you won't get Bismarks or Long Johns or yeast donuts here. Just cake. Personally, I like cake donuts, and being able to add just the items I want makes this appealing. They have parking outside the store but be aware that getting across Brooks School Road can be challenging, especially at rush hour. When we walked into the ice cream shop it was filled with aromas that made swoon. What I absolutely love about this place is the many options and customization. They have both ice cream and donuts - and of course you can get them together. Tons of delicious flavors of ice cream that I would say give some of the other ice cream joints in the area a run for their money. As for the donuts, here's how it works: -You start with a vanilla cake donut, choose your frosting (options like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, maple, lemon, and more), and choose your toppings (candy, cereal, glaze, and more). The donuts are served hot too! I went all out for my treat today and got the donut sundae. On this you get a donut with ice cream, along with a sundae topping like hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. My favorite combo in this wild is peanut butter and chocolate so get ready for this... I got a donut with chocolate frosting, peanut butter drizzle, chocolate peanut butter brownie ice cream, covered with hot fudge. Sugar coma yes, but so worth it. It's okay to treat yourself every once in a while after all. This dessert... I cannot do it justice. These donuts were absolutely incredible. Ohana is a locally owned business open as of Valentine's day 2020. I attended a soft opening on Monday and picked up first order of 3 dozen donuts for work Friday AM. What a gem of a place with the nicest owners. The store is across from the fire station at 116th and Brooks School (entrance off Brooks School). Inside the feeling is airy, modern, and tropical. Just a great vibe and it's clear they spent some money on the interior renovations. The tables themselves look like cut logs that are laminated and sealed. Check out the surfboard shaped tables as well! Three large TV displays provide all the information needed to order (as well as costs). The concept is simple, there are order sheets near the entrance. You fill out how many donuts you want with whatever glaze you desire and they are fresh made for you, served warm. They are cake donuts, then dipped in glaze, then topped as specified. There are a total of 7 glazes and a huge number of toppings so definitely something for everyone. My personal favorite is the lemon glaze with either coconut shavings or blueberry drizzle. I am partial to the donuts being warm...they are OK room temp but not as good. They also have a large selection of coffee drinks, lattes, frappes, that are single sourced from a grower in South America. Terrific flavors and options. Last (and certainly not least) they have Sundaes ice cream, local here to Indianapolis. They are serving cups, cones, shakes, splits, etc. I have no had a chance to try the ice cream (yet) but positive I will this summer. Seating inside is very limited (as of opening day 2020) so if you bring your family of 5 for donuts and coffee, then you may consider taking it home to enjoy. I think they will have some growing pains with the space as I am sure all new businesses do. Costs are commensurate with Fishers as a whole for coffee, donuts and ice cream. Finally!!!! A place in Indiana that has a good Dolewhip. For all of you Disney fans, rejoice!! For al of those who have never experienced a dole whip, now is your chance. However Ohana's off of Brookschool road is so much more than just a delicious tropical ice cream stop, they have many flavors of ice cream, some great donut options, and a variety of coffee options. The way they make their donuts is a great idea. Instead of having hundreds of donuts of different flavor and design sitting in a window they use a basic donut that you order the icing and toppings to be added. This cuts down waste product at the end of the day when donuts of various types are not purchased. They only make what you want, nothing more. As for their ice cream, they sell Sundae'a ice cream, a local family owned ice cream shop that appears to be expanding their influence. This is exciting considering they are a local favorite. I was surprised when they handed me the box how heavy it was, but once I opened it I realized it's because they really load the donuts up with toppings! The way it works, you fill out a form telling them what you want on your donuts. You can pick one glaze and one topping per donut or you can pick The Ohana (vanilla icing, pineapple topping, shaved coconut) or the donut of the week. It's $16 for a dozen which is totally fair considering how big the donuts are. The strawberry icing was way too sweet for me but I loved my donut with heath bar crumbles on top and my boyfriend loved the coconut topping. This place has promise! I was over in Fishers and heard such positive feedback from it, my son and I swung in before a doctors appointment. The GM explained we filled out our menu and they'd make it for us on the spot. We ordered 2 Ohana donuts and my son picked out a chocolate icing donut with sprinkles. I wanted a coffee but they only offered milk, and i needed almond or coconut for dietary reasons, so settled on a water. When we went to sit there was only a 4 top standard table and then a perched higher top seating. There was a family of 5 at the lower table, so we took the higher seats, but my son mentioned he didn't want to fall off- which he technically does ALOT. There is also window seats but the Gm was working on a laptop so we felt inclined to take the higher seats. They brought out our donuts, very kind. I can't say enough about the 2 gentlemen working yesterday. Great staff! I had to cut my sons donut w a knife and fork bc it was messy but that's why donuts are fun. The GM mentioned they plan on bringing in wet wipes! ABSOLUTELY! And they had 2 unisex bathrooms! Awesome, however, most parents need hooks to hang coats, purses bags, etc. Bathroom was bare but it's still a work in progress, just a suggestion from a mom who has to hold EVERYTHING all the time. Once ready, you pull up to the store, call them to say you're there, and they bring your order out to the car. Donuts (onto the good stuff) - I've wondered if a build-your-own donut shop would just be about the toppings; that is not the case at Ohana! We stopped in Ohanalulu for some doughnuts as we were in the area this weekend. We like to try out local doughnut shops when we are traveling. Let me tell you that the doughnuts were phenomenal (we tried 4 different ones) and the service was great and welcoming. Both Kaleb and Summer were very helpful and happy to answer all of our questions and explain the menu. There were so many doughnut choices and this is the first place we have been where you could create your own doughnut. I noticed when Kaleb handed me the lid for my to go coffee cup that he was very cautious to not place his fingers where you would drink from. For a 16 year old in the workforce to be so conscientious and aware, I thought that was great service. The first time we stopped here was for a Yelp elite event, but enjoyed it so much, I went back again. As a donut fan and a recent visitor of Hawaii, I was intrigued when I noticed a Hawaii themed place opening in fishers , and I can say it definitely lived up to expectations! Sometimes, I feel donuts can be either too heavy or airy, but I felt like the donut had very good texture and definitely GREAT taste. I ordered the same donut both times I've went because I enjoyed it. The donut sandwich itself was very interesting. I was nervous because I was not sure if the sweetness from the donut would overpower the sandwich, but it was very good. The ingredients were fresh, and the donut just gave it a hint of sweetness, since it was not fully glazed. I enjoyed it.
