My story begins in June when I went to our local Carter Lumber store in Medford Nj. At this time…read morethe pandemic was roaring. We wanted to support our local supplier instead of a big box store like Home Depot. Once we knew what brand and color we wanted I called and spoke to "Joe". He was very friendly and quickly told me what materials I needed. He being the deck professional I agreed to the list of items and asked how soon it would arrive. Joe said he called the distributor and it would be 2 weeks for most of it and 4-5 weeks for the rest. I placed my order. Over the next two weeks I completely tore apart my current wood deck in preparation of the new materials. 3 weeks later I call and was then advised that it was out of stock. That they didn't know when it would arrive. What? I now have a torn apart deck. I can't use my back door. I asked to speak to a manager. He was on vacation. Finally I got a call back from someone and they explained the industry shortage. Nobody told me this when I ordered. He said he see if there were any other brands that may be suitable. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN Each time I called for an update the person on the phone would say I needed to speak to Joe. He wasn't available. I had to insist that they help me. They were very kurt and gave an attitude. It was obvious at this point they are paid on commission and didn't want to waste their time with me. Finally spoke to Joe. Long discussion that he was sorry. I explained I couldn't use my back door for weeks now. He said maybe he could get me some plywood to lay down. Ok! Great! NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. In July my first delivery came. Wasn't exactly like Joe said it would be. Silly things but different than what we ordered. I called, the person said ai needed to speak to Joe... really? I called Joe, he said I needed to speak to them, really? I even posted my experience on Facebook. I happen to have heard from an outside sales person who said they would look into this...NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. Now I still needed my 2nd delivery of more materials. Not one person called me since July. Its now almost November. Today ai reached out to Joe with an email as I knew it would be a bad idea to call. I got a response "we are bringing it today". Wait did it arrive as I was emailing them? This makes me believe it was there and sitting. So after 5 months I finally got the rest of it. I wanted to support a local company. After this experience I will never walk into that store again. It has completely ruined my new deck experience. I would love to hear from someone at their Corporate headquarters. Sean was contracted to replace all the carpet in one of our rentals. He sent his vendor out and they did all the rooms besides a back room. We missed it on the proposal because we're out of state and didn't realize it was overlooked. My house cleaner caught the room wasn't carpeted and called it out. At that time I announced it to Sean and hounded him weekly for well over a month to complete the small room. Mind you I cannot rent this place out unless the job is done so I'm losing out on rental income. You can see from the text thread that he gave us the run around to the point we had to fire him and tell him we're moving forward with another company. He offered to call and I agreed. Unfortunately no call. When he followed up I reiterated that we were done with his company. Today, August 15th, he announces he needs to be paid for the back room as it's finally finished. This guy was fired! He's also a liar as you can tell from the text exchange and now he's threatening to put a lien on the home. He was fired and let himself into my home weeks after and is now demanding money AFTER he was fired. A contractor can not return to a property after being fired and then demand payment for work they were not authorized to do. You've been warned. Don't use this guy. He's terrible.

Sean clearly took full advantage when finding out my father had passed away and immediately started overcharging for work that I found was never attempted. I think this is sick work. As well as extensive works paid for not delivered, we also were horrified to find out the trash removal we paid for was simply thrown onto the lawn of the property where it was left for months. As an out of state investor, i only found out when I saw this report on Cleveland 19 News after the "illegal dumping" had been left for months causing neighbour complains and reports to the city. I would not risk this character continuing to extract rental funds he isn't due. He is beyond untrustworthy, completely incompetent and doesn't operate from any sort of integrity. I see the previous review reports a similar story to mine so this isn't his first scam and likely won't be the last. Definitely stay away!!!
