Our gutters were falling off our house and anytime it rained, no matter how little, our basement…read morewould get water. We called Mater Roofers and they were there the next day to inspect them and give us a quote. Our house has had a few additions so it has really weird gutters and a lot of downspouts. It is also surrounded my pine trees so getting gutter guards was an absolute must as well. They gave us a quote and it was very reasonable for the amount we would need replaced and the labor to do it. It did take them three weeks to get all the material and schedule the install. They showed up with 5 guys and had all the gutter taken off and replaced with full gutter guards in 5 hours. It was very impressive. They had someone come out a few days later to do the final inspection. We also waited until it rained to let them know if everything was working properly. Since we've had them replaced, we have not had any water in our basement. The only thing we didn't love is they were not very careful during the install. They completely trampled our flower beds. I would understand if a few were to get stepped on, but yearly every flower was smashed and killed. They also left a nail from the old gutters on our driveway. I'm sure this was just something they overlooked, but if we didn't see that it could have caused some real damage.

One section still needs done. How dare I say," why didn't you do this, or why didn't you do that?" I shouldn't have to.! Your crew has no supervision; they just do what they want because u r never around. Whink Whink. But since they work so cheap for you, you really don't care what they do, or don't do. You never finished the job ! Of course you are not going to get the final 2900.00 dollars. Then hold the warranty hostage. Final payment not due until the job is finished.

They brought a crew of 10 and had the old roof off and replaced in two days, in freezing December weather, on our 2800 sq. ft. house. Part of the job included removing and hauling away an old, non-functional 10' by 20' hot-water solar panel. No extra charge! They originally quoted standard shingles and when they ordered them, they discovered that the manufacturer, CertainTeed, had suffered a huge fire in an East Coast facility, which not only destroyed current inventory but the capacity to manufacture more shingles. So C and J worked with us to upgrade to architectural shingles of very similar color and look at a 50% cost reduction. Additionally, we have a large flag-stone chimney for which they had to hand-craft lead flashing to make a solid, durable seal. Standard metal flashing could not be made to conform to the rough stone surface of the chimney and would leak. This part of the job alone, took two men two days. They also worked with us to replace two standard roof vents with high-powered fans at a very reasonable cost. I was so satisfied with the work that I recommended C and J to my daughter, who had her roof replaced just a couple of months ago, and is equally as pleased with their work as I am.

They discovered that our house had been wired in an inexplicable way that only became exacerbated by whomever did the basement remodel before we bought the house. They ultimately pinpointed it to a faulty outlet that I had changed a couple of years ago that just couldn't handle the load of all that was being run through it (something like ten other switches and outlets).
