We had Titan replace our roof in August 2017. It was complete tear off & plywood sheathing…read morereplacement, a new skylight, plus new larger gutters, gutter covers & downspouts. We also had all the fascia and shutters replaced. The roof was completed in one day, with the gutters, downspouts and fascia being replaced the next 2 days. They also painted all the vent stacks and our chimney a flat black which really added to the appearance of the house. It was an excellent job, with excellent quality and a fair price. We have really been pleased with the results, except for the shutters. We had wooden shutters that were attached with screws. They had to be painted every 5 years or so, and some had to be replaced due to wood rot. The new shutters are plastic with plastic fasteners. We have had 3 instances with high winds where one or two of the 2nd story shutters got blown off. Each time Sean came out and re-attached them. We had 2 blow off a couple weeks ago when the remnants of Helene came through. The shutters are attached by 4 fasteners. Sean suggested we add 2 in the middle, which he did - hopefully that solves the problem! My point is - they did a great job in 2017 and they have always followed up with service whenever we had an issue - which is what you want from a quality roofing company.

They stripped the roof down to the wood sheathing and replaced everything including both step and counter flashing in one day. A different crew returned the next day and removed and upgraded our gutters to 6" with new downspouts, also in 1 day. My husband and I had been in contact with Carthage Roofing to replace the front facing mini-mansard roof on our home. Our contact, Rob, asked us to go to Willoughby Supply to pick out the specific siding we wanted. We responded back the week of 11/6 with the exact product we wanted: Single 6-1/3" Perfection Shapes Scallop in Cyrus, Autumn Red, and Colonial White (meant to replicate the color of shingles they were replacing). They agreed to contact us during the week of 11/14 to set something up to get started. On 11/14/22 they arrived between 8-9am unannounced and began to remove the current roof with no call/text/or knock on the door. They removed the remainder of the roof and then Rob left to pick up the material at Willoughby Supply. At that point Rob called my husband and explained that they did not have the material we requested and that we would need to pick something else or wait one to three, or more, months for them to order what we requested. The major issues were 1) they began work without notice 2) they fully removed our roof before making sure they had the correct material to finish the job 3) Rob was an incredibly poor communicator during the entire process. We felt forced to make a decision and get material installed that was not the agreed upon material because our roof had already been removed. Although Rob insisted that he did not force us to make any decision, it was his error in not securing the material that changed our circumstances drastically. Had Rob checked to make sure he had the material to complete the job before beginning, he would have discovered that he did not have what we needed. At that point we would have waited for the material to be ordered and still had our current roof. Instead we were forced to make the decision to change the material or wait one or more months in winter completely without that large section of our roof.

Before purchasing, I specifically discussed my primary concern with the salesperson: through my windows. I even provided a competing quote showing the type of solar-heat-reducing glass I wanted, and we discussed this in detail. I was told American Weathertechs had a comparable product, and the salesperson demonstrated heat performance to me using a heat lamp. . The November 2025 installation had numerous problems, including windows that were difficult or impossible to operate, bowed sashes and installation deficiencies. I objected to signing completion paperwork because the work was not complete, but I was told to sign and not worry because I had a warranty and they would return to correct the problems. Financing was then processed. , . Fourteen sashes ultimately required replacement, yet problems remained. I eventually hired an independent third-party inspector, who documented additional concerns, including thermal observations and window/door deficiencies. The solar-heat issue also remained. Months after the sale, American Weathertechs told me that it does carry the type of Low-E coating/product that I had discussed at the point of sale. On August 5, the company proposed triple-pane inserts, but expected me to pay additional material costs. I asked for written performance specifications before agreeing to spend additional money. Instead, the company subsequently withdrew that proposal, refused further service and refused to return to finish the unresolved installation issues. They characterized the approximately $3,400 disputed balance as "bad debt," wrote it off to $0, and stated that my were void. . I have extensive emails, photographs, temperature documentation and an independent inspection report documenting my experience. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. After spending approximately $49,000 and spending roughly nine months trying to get these issues resolved, .
