Stopped in to this little dinky underwhelming and clearly vintaged and authentic little shop, and took all of five minutes for this older guy with a magnifying glasses headband to get this done. He came out from behind the counter and asked what wrist size I need, told him mine and he said ok give me just a few minutes. He clearly had been doing this his entire life. This guy only charged me like $5 to take a few links out. I expeced to pay at least $20, so this was an awesome surprise. Due to the quick service, the lack of flair and truly honest and sincere work I defffffinitely will be going back here for any future watch needs!!

The things they sell are helpful to more than professional jewelers. My father, for example, is a botanist who studies mosses. He buys all of his hand lenses here (and then proceeds to wear them around his neck and continually get asked why he's wearing a whistle.) I like them for their beading cord and tool quality. This is the kind of place that is trying to keep itself a secret. THERE IS NO SIGN. Let me repeat that. THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN. They also keep their door locked a lot of the time, so you knock and look somewhat respectable and they let you in. (The store is located right next to the plasma donation place, and they apparently get some interesting characters in.) If you're an artist or a beader or a botanist/entomologist/etc. I highly suggest dropping in sometime. It will be worth your while.

When I asked if they could recommend a repair person she asked who I was. When I told her my name she told me to just go to my local jeweler...which I'm pretty sure I could have figured out on my own, except I didn't want to do that. Well she refused to tell me of any local shops that work on watches. This must be the only business in Columbus that has more business than they know what to do with--as they sure don't seem very welcoming to new potential business.

I had insurance so I filed a claim & they directed me to return to Diamond Cellar to pick out a replacement ring. Immediately it was not a pleasant experience. The receptionist never placed me in que despite being the 3rd person in the door after they opened at 10am. I sat annoyed for over 30 mins before approaching her again and asked if I should just make an appt. She said no there was a mix up. I wish I would've just left then. So much happened in between then and now but on 4/25 I called asked if I could speak to a manager because after placing my replacement order they have continued to try to mark the price up despite everything being written up properly & me having both the receipts for the stone as well as the setting. I originally called 3.5 hrs before closing and the receptionist told me if the female manager felt it was important she would return my call. I called back 25 mins before they closed again asking to speak to the manager. She then informed me the manager would call me back closer to closing time. I said do you not close in 25 mins? She said yes then abruptly ended the phone call that ended with "bye". At this point I'm going to try to reach someone af the corporate office because the way they are behaving like a used car sales lot is appalling. I refuse to pay a penny more than the agreed upon price that is on all my order receipts I was given when I placed the order on 2/21. They have flat out lied twice now about why the cost is changing. Avoid at all cost, even if you've had spectacular experience there in the past. I would much rather have them refund my insurance company the money that was wired to them for the replacement and take my business elsewhere and be treated as a valued customer.

They were able to use our family jewelry of diamonds and gold, that were significant to us, to make these beautiful pieces of jewelry that I will cherish forever. My initial experience was not optimal. The store was busy (good sign!) but the gal who checked my jewelry in I would quickly not consider an expert. She asked how much I wanted to tag onto my jewelry while it was in their care. When I told her she turned her nose up and said it sounded a "bit high" but ok. Surely, there's 10 different ways to get me to respond to your question without directly insulting me as a potential long term client with your response. She then asked me if I was aware of the heavy duty $50 fee to appraise my ring. I smiled and said of course, as this was already quoted to me prior to my arrival. Again - it comes down to presentation. Little if any people skills. A bit disturbing. Less than a week later I got a call sharing my ring was ready. Shop was not crowded so I got in rather quickly. The young lady who checked me out was amazing. Very professional and prompt and quickly pulled my ring. She shared which documents were for my insurance and which were for my own records. Upon opening the documents I was more than mildly amused when I saw the appraisal came back HIGHER than what was so quickly blown off by the clerk who checked me in up on my initial visit. Wasn't that interesting....and I was right. She was not an expert. The overall service, delivery and operations are worth the good ratings and I will return. I'm chalking up the insults to perhaps one substandard employee or even a good one having an off day.

I had a silver chain necklace that had broken and a silver/turquoise ring that needed resized (it was my grandmother's). They told me a price that was very reasonable and estimated 2 weeks for repairs. On 10/29 I received a call that my repairs were complete! I picked up my items and they sparkled like never before. I'm not sure what they clean them with but it is great! I definitely recommend La Perla.
