They were able to use our family jewelry of diamonds and gold, that were significant to us, to make these beautiful pieces of jewelry that I will cherish forever. Kristin was so patient with me as we worked through what I envisioned and the ring and bracelet are exquisite. My initial experience was not optimal. The store was busy (good sign!) but the gal who checked my jewelry in I would quickly not consider an expert. She asked how much I wanted to tag onto my jewelry while it was in their care. When I told her she turned her nose up and said it sounded a "bit high" but ok. Surely, there's 10 different ways to get me to respond to your question without directly insulting me as a potential long term client with your response. She then asked me if I was aware of the heavy duty $50 fee to appraise my ring. I smiled and said of course, as this was already quoted to me prior to my arrival. Again - it comes down to presentation. Little if any people skills. A bit disturbing. Less than a week later I got a call sharing my ring was ready. Shop was not crowded so I got in rather quickly. The young lady who checked me out was amazing. Very professional and prompt and quickly pulled my ring. She shared which documents were for my insurance and which were for my own records. Upon opening the documents I was more than mildly amused when I saw the appraisal came back HIGHER than what was so quickly blown off by the clerk who checked me in up on my initial visit. Wasn't that interesting....and I was right. She was not an expert. The overall service, delivery and operations are worth the good ratings and I will return. I'm chalking up the insults to perhaps one substandard employee or even a good one having an off day.

I had insurance so I filed a claim & they directed me to return to Diamond Cellar to pick out a replacement ring. Immediately it was not a pleasant experience. The receptionist never placed me in que despite being the 3rd person in the door after they opened at 10am. I sat annoyed for over 30 mins before approaching her again and asked if I should just make an appt. She said no there was a mix up. I wish I would've just left then. So much happened in between then and now but on 4/25 I called asked if I could speak to a manager because after placing my replacement order they have continued to try to mark the price up despite everything being written up properly & me having both the receipts for the stone as well as the setting. I originally called 3.5 hrs before closing and the receptionist told me if the female manager felt it was important she would return my call. I called back 25 mins before they closed again asking to speak to the manager. She then informed me the manager would call me back closer to closing time. I said do you not close in 25 mins? She said yes then abruptly ended the phone call that ended with "bye". At this point I'm going to try to reach someone af the corporate office because the way they are behaving like a used car sales lot is appalling. I refuse to pay a penny more than the agreed upon price that is on all my order receipts I was given when I placed the order on 2/21. They have flat out lied twice now about why the cost is changing. Avoid at all cost, even if you've had spectacular experience there in the past. I would much rather have them refund my insurance company the money that was wired to them for the replacement and take my business elsewhere and be treated as a valued customer.

I'm a fan of local, mom-and-pop businesses--especially for something as meaningful as wedding jewelry. Met the team at a bridal show, and while the energy felt a little off (crowds were heavy, so I gave grace), they warmed up enough to mention an extended bridal promo and encouraged me to stop in. So I did. And unfortunately... the experience never quite landed. When I came into the store, it was busy again--fair--but the interaction felt just as unclear as before. I explained exactly what I was looking for (even showed a Tiffany & Co. reference), and was immediately told customization was the only option... with no pricing guidance, no range, no transparency. That's a miss. When I did find a band in-store that worked, I moved forward--still without a clear idea of cost. After a long back-and-forth with a manufacturer, the quote came back at over $1,500 more than the comparable Tiffany piece. Pause. I also had to remind them about their own bridal promotion while actively making a purchase. That shouldn't be on the customer. To salvage the visit, I added earrings and dropped off jewelry for repair (which, to be clear, the smith work was excellent). But the buying experience? Still off. And here's where it really mattered: I later found my original ring through my Tiffany rep and called to cancel the order. Thankfully, I caught it in time--because buried in the fine print is that custom orders are non-cancelable. That's the kind of detail that should be clearly communicated upfront, not discovered later. Even the cancellation process felt like work. I was told someone would call me back... hours passed... I had to follow up myself to close the loop. Final visit to pick up my repaired jewelry? Empty store, but still somehow rushed. I tried to browse, got prompted to check out early, asked about items I'd previously seen--and was told they didn't exist. Then spotted them right next to me at checkout. At that point, I paid for the repair work and left with the same energy I walked in with: rushed, unclear, and not particularly welcomed. YE Gurl Insight: There's a difference between *nice* and *kind*. Nice feels scripted. Kind feels intentional. And in a category like jewelry--where purchases are emotional, high-investment, and personal--experience is everything. Final Take: * Craftsmanship (repairs): Strong * Retail experience: Inconsistent at best * Pricing transparency: Lacking * Overall vibe: Off I understand why more people are opting for brands like Tiffany & Co. or even online retailers like Mejuri --you get clarity, consistency, and a smoother experience without the friction. After being professionally sized in-store, I ordered my ring based on their recommendation, but it didn't fit. When I returned to the store, both a manager and an employee confirmed I could exchange it for a larger size rather than resize it, per their policy. They took my ring to process the exchange. Days later, I was told they could only resize it, contradicting what I was promised. They claimed they'd escalate my case for review and follow up, but no one did. I had to call myself to find out my request was denied due to their vague "sustainability pledge." After nearly two weeks of delays, I requested a refund. Again, no one followed up. When I called back, I was told my refund needed further review because it was "past the refund window," even though they've had my ring since January 14th. They also suddenly required the return of promotional items, despite previously assuring me this wouldn't be necessary. Now, I must wait another 24-48 hours for a decision and, if approved, another 5-9 days for processing. Brilliant Earth has failed to honor their policies, misled me, and repeatedly delayed resolution. Their customer service is unreliable, and once they have your money, their policies seem to work in their favor--not yours. Buyer beware.
