Ok ok ok....I know the running joke is that Brunswick has 3 pizza places for each person (and 2 car washes, 2 pharmacies and 4 auto parts stores...) but supply and demand right??!? Open the pizza place and they will come.... Living just around the corner from Ohio Pie I was waiting for it to open. I knew the opening weekend would be crazy so I stayed away...let them enjoy a Monday off and decided to visit on their first Tuesday open. Tuesday...historically the slowest day for pizza ordering (seriously...look it up). I stopped in to order a pie before running some errands. Service was fantastic!!! Friendly people, working hard and seeming to love what they are doing! (I realize it is only 4 days after they opened, but I saw passion...PASSION!). I picked up my pizza and the kiddo and I headed home. (We did take a peek at the pie in the car and my 16 yo said "ooooooh.....yum!") We tore into that pizza with HUGE expectations!!! And we were not disappointed, in fact, my expectations were exceeded! I was concerned about the "sweeter" sauce as I am generally not a fan, but it is perfect! They do not slather this pizza with sauce, just "kiss" it perfectly! The cheese was edge to edge but not a greasy ball of cement, the pepperoni was perfect!! You know what I mean...slightly charred on the edges, curling, just begging to be chomped!! I am a huge fan of the dough. Not deep dish, but not thin crust...the perfect balance. Crispy on the bottom and pillowy in the middle. I am so looking forward to what's to come with Ohio Pie. And yes, I picked up a couple cookies, but I am not sure I should remark on them because I feel my own home-baked treats are amazing and these buggers are trying to give me a run for my money. Honestly...I am a bit scared to try the brunch pizza, I mean...put everything bagel seasoning (thank you Trader Joe's!!!!) on something already epic and I am sure you can invent a time machine.... yum! This should be called cheesebread. First Raw dough in the middle of my pizza!!!! then as im eating it i noticed that swirl of sauce on top is all the sauce for the entire pizza, theres no more pizza sauce. so some squares were cheesebread with no sauce! i did order what they actually refer to as their cheesebread. this time the sauce they use is creamcheese and i had to throw it in the trash because every bit consist of a tablespoon of cream cheese, gross!!!! After eating this so called pizza i actually find it a little narcissistic they have claimed the title of "ohio style pizza" lol read more

Sorry guys but extremely disappointing. I have pizza with my father and mother once a month. We decided to move out of our comfort zone and order from Ohio Pie because of the incredible reviews. Absolute worst pizza I have ever had. We ordered a deluxe. It was so overwhelmed with pepperoni you could not taste anything else. So if you like pepperoni this is the place for you. There were maybe two mushrooms, and a teaspoon of onions and I think one green pepper slice on the entire large pizza. If that wasn't bad enough my stomach was yelling at me for hours. Needless to say the garbage dumpster critters will have a feast tonight.... if they dare. Lesson here is stay in your comfort zone when it comes to food. If it's not broke don't try and fix it. Ok. Gonna preface this by saying the rating is based on my personal preference for pizza. So with that out of the way, if you want a big and bouncy, meaty and beaty, carbs and oil be damned, I'm living for now, what are you looking at, party pie, you've come to the right place. First, nice things: Nick and the staff are engaging and make no excuses for what they do without being scornful. "It's the way we do it." Only can speak on the pepperoni and they do it right: crisp and plentiful. Cheese blend is pleasing. Not crazy about the garlic oil and would want to administer it myself sparingly. The sauce is sweeter than I like and lacking an herbal flavor. Dough was crisp on the top and bottom but massive crust and chewer than I favor. Price wise, maybe a bit on the upper end, but they don't skimp on the amount of toppings. Not going to be my regular stop for pizza as I like the Neapolitan style much more with a much thinner crust and thicker sauce. read more

The pizza here is polarizing to me. It has some things I love and some things I just don't care for. We ordered a large pepperoni with onion on half and a small caesar salad. For $21...it's a great value. The pizza was large and very rich so we had plenty of leftovers after my wife, son, and I had a go. The sm caesar was perfectly portioned for my wife and I to split. It had plenty of shaved parm, croutons and the dressing was pretty good. Now for the main attraction. The things I liked about the pizza were the pepperoni which was baked super crispy, the flavor of the 5 cheese blend and the fact that it was edge to edge along with the pepperoni, the bottom of the crust was really crispy, and everything was fresh. What I didn't enjoy about the pizza was that crust is definitely thick, the sauce is on the sweet sweet side, and I could have done with about half of the garlic oil they used. It made the pizza extremely greasy. I'm a huge fan of thin ny style pie, with a robust sauce and a light layer of cheese so this pizza, while executed very well, just didn't do it for me and that's ok. Judging by the amount of positive reviews, most people love it. I've heard they do what they do here and make no apologies about it which is really cool. I would love to see a thin crust option at some point and I will also order again but it will be a Saturday or Sunday morning for one of their brunch pies....each one looks like a must try. Make no ifs, ands, or buts about it, this is definitely your best option for pizza in Brunswick...by a long shot. read more

This is my favorite pizza shop. This is not your ordinary pepperoni pizza. The sauce is sweeter which I love but if your a saucy person you better ask for more on the side. The kicker is the garlic oil that's drizzled on top, that's the icing on the cake. The specialty pizzas will keep you coming back. My boyfriend & I made a 30 minute drive to go check this place out & needless to say, we wish it was MUCH closer. The overall experience we had was amazing; the owner was extremely friendly & even went out of his way to bring us plates when he saw we had gone to sit outside without any. We ended up getting the heartburner & the pizza itself was even better than we imagined. We also ordered 3 cookies to take home & they were PHENOMENAL, you could tell they were made fresh.
