History

Established in 2015.

The ORC began as a home-production-studio branded as Rewire Media in 2009. Initially consisting of two small rooms, the operation outgrew it's modest space and set out to build a new home. Made possible by the support of it's patrons, a new studio, built from the ground up, was launched December 5, 2015. "The goal is to create an inspiring environment with the tools needed to reach a wide variety of artist's goals," explains Brennan Willis, owner and engineer. "Every decision during the planning of the new studio was made with the success of the artist in mind." Operating as Rewire Media, the studio has provided unique commercial compositions for advertisements aired on regional and national television, produced many full length albums for local and regional artists, and has been an active participant in the local arts community.

Meet the Business Owner: Brennan W.

The Ohio Recording Co. is the home of producer, songwriter, and musician Brennan Willis.​ As a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Willis has toured across the US in multiple bands opening for artists such as the Civil Wars, Sea Wolf, Copeland, Jars Of Clay, Red Wanting Blue, Johnny Swim, Five Iron Frenzy, Secondhand Serenade, Mike Mains and the Branches, and many others. With a passion to create new music, he helped form The Undeserving, a band who partnered with Warner Brothers Records in 2008.​ The band's songs were featured on several TV shows including American Idol, Blue Bloods, Biggest Loser, So You Think You Can Dance and more. Brennan also had the notable experience of mixing their first album with world-renowned mix engineer Michael Brauer. Continuing to progress his writing and production career, Willis makes frequent writing trips to Nashville, where he has worked with artists Gin Wigmore, Whissell, Jeff Klein (My Jerusalem) ....continued at ohiorecordingcompany.com
