I booked for my friend's bachelorette party and I am beyond thankful I found them. The original bar we went to wasn't what we expected. I was so stressed because I wanted the bride to be happy. Since Racquel and DaMante are so amazing and attentive, they checked on us and offered to take us to other spots in town. Since they had connections, we were able to go to all the best spots! At one bar, DaMante took over the entire place and became the DJ and hype man. It was like a movie. He made the place come alive and we would have had a boring night without them. Above and beyond would be an understatement. They were also so caring and patient looking after 20+ women having a good time! The vibes and service were immaculate and I will forever cherish this experience and how happy it made my friend. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had all thanks to Racquel and DaMante. Incredible humans and business. Also, Racquel is a fantastic owner. Excellent and timely communication and so warm and kind. I could not recommend booking with them enough. All I expected was transportation, lights and some good music to our destination. A bottle of water and binoculars were all we needed. There are several American bald Eagle nest along the way, and we got to see the adults and some young fledglings. Tom, the owner, was the tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about the birds, the Huron area, and nature in general. The bicycle seats are a bit uncomfortable; however he is removing them and putting in comfortable swivel seats after this season ends in October. I would like to come back next spring or fall to see the different seasons.

They were very accomodating and Andrea allowed us to move our reservation back one day. The day before we rented from A&B we rented from a different company. A&B had a much nicer cart than the one we rented the day before. Bob took the time to give instructions on using the carts (not provided at all by the other company). Andrea and Bob are two super nice people and were friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend anyone rent a cart from them.

Costs $20.00 per adult person and $5.00 for parking. Lakeside community is beautiful and quaint. Step back to the 1950s and enjoy life with swimming, shuffleboard, horseshoes, sailing, sand volleyball, basketball, nightly music, shopping, and dining. Dry community so no alcohol. We didn't see many people of various ethnicities and races other than white. Enjoyed walking on docks, visiting shops, shuffle board, Hawaiian ices, lunch at The Hotel, and walking all around. The experience is one that I've come to cherish. However, there are several drawbacks I would 100% recommend renting a cottage instead of staying at Hotel Lakeside (which is the reason for such the mediocre review). The rooms, while quaint, were very dirty in the corners and I wouldn't recommend looking under the bed unless you're a dust bunny aficionado. We were told that we were going to get a kitchenette which we did not receive (and apparently there isn't one in the entire hotel). My room was nice enough (besides for the dust), but my grandparents' room's air conditioning was not working and the room had a musty odor. Thankfully they were able to get the bridal suite on the second floor but even then, the bathroom was so small we were worried they would fall and hurt themselves. In terms of food, you don't really have many options. Besides for the hotel's restaurant, there are some coffee shops that aren't open for dinner, sloopy's and the New Mexican restaurant. The hotel's food is delicious but because there are only a few items on the menu, they can get old rather quickly. Sloopy's is nice for a few meals but eating that much unhealthy food will not make your stomach very happy. This is the other reason I recommend getting a cottage. Just so you could make your own home cooked meals instead of relying on eating out. Lastly, the porch. This is the most redeeming quality to the hotel. Looking out over the lake in the covered porch with everyone quietly reading or on their phones is incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. In the end, I would recommend coming to Lakeside 100%. However, stay at the hotel at your own risk and definitely not for more than four days.

I got a small bag of taffy, maybe 25 pieces, and it was priced by the piece rather than the pound. I paid just over $2 for my sticky haul. There is also a selection of shirts and gifts that were nice, and they have a rack of rental bikes out front. If you're going to rent a bike, Missy Magoo's is probably the closest to the ferry dock to get that business!
