But this is my story…read more Traveling from Virginia to Michigan and just outside Columbus Ohio I picked up a piece of metal in my right rear tire. ,,, I limped to a nearby fast food restaurant parking lot. I pulled out the "donut" spare and changed the tire. Can't drive all the to Michigan on the donut. So, I called tire places. First 3 no answer. Fourth place "Steve" answered. I explained my circumstances, he said come on over. I did. I'll just say "don't judge a book by it cover". His shop is pretty gnarly looking. He and his worked were nice as pie and as luck had it they had a tire, used but good my size . In matter of minutes he had that tire on the rim and on the truck. I paid him "70 bucks" for everything and was on my way. Total lost travel time only 2 hours (I was happy with that) thanks to Steve and his gnarly shop. I called last Friday after having talked to different businesses about getting my tire rim repaired or replaced. None of them gave me any real satisfactory information so the search continued until I got to Dave's. I believe it was Kevin that I spoke with (I'm sorry, the name escapes me). He was very informative and quite pleasant on the phone, giving me quotes and guarantee information on their service and products. Saturday, I drove up to get the rim repaired, only to find that they were/are "closed on Saturdays until further notice". I went back on Monday and met with him to review my rim's condition. He took a look and gave me a very clear explanation and what I should expect. He even suggested that I could expedite matters by taking it directly to their service center for repair. I told him that I was comfortable leaving it with him and could wait a few days. I left the tire with him feeling good about things. It was early Tuesday when he called to let me know that the repair was complete (much sooner than I expected). I drove back and picked it up, extremely pleased with their timeliness. My added bonus came when he reviewed the condition of the damaged tire with me to show me exactly why it was unsafe for use. He had conducted a search to get me pricing on tires, even though I told him I was getting it replaced at no charge by the company responsible for the bad tire. I did indicate that I will be using him in the future... ...and so should you. But when/if you do, as always, be sure to tell 'em that "Kenny sent ya"!

When I took it to a real repair shop, they said something internal was broken and that a cover had been put over it to hide the damage. Disgusting. Additionally, the AC only worked for two months, because it turns out they did it wrong. They charged us a pretty penny for the services we got there, and nothing in our car actually got fixed. NEVER go here. Not if it's convenient, not if it's cheaper than another place. It's just a big, gross scam.
