The work they did had a 12 month guarantee, so I was still, and still am, within the warranty period. I contacted them a week ago and told them I have no air-conditioning in my car. They looked me up and said sure enough you are still under warranty, unfortunately you will have to go to the closest location to you..now that you've moved. They will do an inspection and then take care of it. The location closest to me is now an hour and 15 minute drive in Heath, Ohio. I contacted them and made the appointment and was there at 8:30 in the morning yesterday. I sat there for 4 1/2 hours waiting for them to tell me what was wrong and what they needed to do. I asked a couple times what the holdup was, and I was told they were trying to find a part. I said you haven't even told me what's wrong, so why am I waiting this long? I was dealing with a service adjuster named Nicole who was extremely curt and rude. Mind you, I spent $1600 to have my air-conditioning fixed last summer, and this facility comes back and tells me they will not cover it under warranty and now I need to pay almost $2000 to have my air-conditioning fixed again ($1915.16 to be exact). They told me The Gahanna location did not run die in the lines and there is a leak in one of the lines that cools the back half of my Ford Explorer. They even turned the screen around to show me what they found, and what needs done, and highlighted in red the screen said "prior store did not run die to check lines". I said if Gahanna messed up, then it should surely be under warranty. I asked her if I could take a picture of that screen so I had proof and she jerked the screen around and said absolutely not. I told them this was supposed to be under warranty, I'm not paying $2000 to have my air conditioning fixed, when I already paid $1600. And my roundtrip will be 2 1/2 hours. She said we will put the freon in for free but it's still going to be $1900. I'm super upset, that's a shady way to do business. I have contacted their corporate offices. This should be covered. Oh yeah, on top of all of that I never spoke to a supervisor, I never spoke to a manager. I was only able to deal with this Nicole (who should NOT be in customer service). She tried to explain to me that an air-conditioning system is like a heart, and when one of the veins is cut, you lose all the blood. I wanted to say, I'm not a freaking idiot. I know exactly what an air conditioning unit does and how it works. I expect someone from Firestone to contact me and I want my vehicle fixed.

Again, the people who I interacted with were nothing but kind, genuine and helpful. But the time it took to get this done is unreal. To be fair, they did indicate (after I had already waited for 5 hours) "sorry man - we've only got one guy back there right now." That information would have been great to lead with, but I can't imagine they'd get much business if they disclosed that at the start of the transaction. Would not select this location again. The tech actually showed me the drain plug and the old fluid, it looked pretty nasty, so it felt good knowing it needed done and wasn't just being "sold" something. They put in a new air filter, checked my coolant quality, and I appreciated they were honest that the coolant was still good instead of pushing an unnecessary service. Everyone was friendly, explained things in a way that made sense, and I left feeling taken care of, not pressured for money. The oil change portion was on point- I barely got checked in and they were finished. Got new wiper blades installed for the same price as at the store while they completed my service.
