They replaced the purge valve. Guess what I'm still getting the same gas smell because of the canister was not replaced. And when I said to him when I went back and told him that Ford had said it was the canister. I told him Ford coded the canister and I showed him the paperwork from Ford. And he charged me 500 and something dollars for the purge valve and it's the canister cause I still have the same gas smell that I had before I took it into his shop. I went back and talked to him. He had no plausible explanation except for that's what you told us no it was not. I showed him the paperwork from Ford. That said it was the canister. Then he says to me well in our experience it's always been the purge valve. So what happened was they assumed it was the purge valve even though I showed them that it coded it out from Ford as the canister. So I'm out 500 bucks now it's another 400 to get the canister replaced. He did not offer to help me in any way shape or form on the cost of this. My name is Darren Wingate. I was his customer. Ask him. I can prove it and if he says it happened any other way, then he is a liar. I believe in the future I'm going to start recording cars into they make a mistake and then they say oh it was you and you just ate $500 not them. I could've got the car fixed for 650.
