I was astounded when a friend tried to cash a company check from my Morgan Stanley account in California and both the manager and assistant manager told her that they "thought it was a scam" and refused to honor the check. But when she took it to Chase it was accepted with no questions. My account manager at Morgan Stanley just rolled her eyes when I told her what had happened to my friend. How much experience can these two have if they cannot even recognize a legitimate check from a huge financial institution? Or at least have the courtesy to call the bank in question and ease their "fears"? I have been thinking about moving back to Jackson but I now one bank I will stay away from.
