You have to pay for each gun that you bring... what If you brought 5 of their pistols in a range bag? Well, at Carter's Country you will pay $90+ tax just to shoot them! Another negative is that the range officers stare you down like a HAWK. It's their job to keep the range safe, but are they are not friendly. You will wind up chatting and laughing with your buddies during the cease fire only to turn and see an RSO staring you down with a stern look on their face. You have to walk around with rifles and shotguns out of the case. Which I find pretty dumb, too. Other than that, what can I say? I like to shoot guns. I was able to shoot and had a decent enough time thanks to my friends.

The walking paths have recently been upgraded to asphalt rather than packed clay, and there are a couple of hiking trails through the forested areas to enjoy as well. Closes around dusk and the constables do pass through and nudge folks out before closing. Locking gates were also recently added. My dog enjoys our walks here especially when she sniffs out the occasional deer or rabbit that live along Cypress Creek. If you do the whole loops the walking path is about 2.5 miles.

They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. Also love that the playground is covered and kids can play in the shade. That's a MUST for Texas parks!

After a horrific visit at a close by competitor that has USA in their name... this place stood out like a beacon in the night on a foggy night at sea. Upon entering we were immediately greated within 3 seconds. The gentlemen there welcomed us in as if we were familiar family. We approached the counter and I asked them if they did trades and he said yes but it depends on exactly what I was interested in trading. I went back to my vehicle to show them my trade and a little background and they were more than happy to give me close to what I purchased it for as it was only 2 days old from where I originally purchased it from. They happily gave us a small tour of their facilities and showed us some products of interest. They were extremely knowledgeable about every product there as they are also a gunsmith shop so can also do any type of modification allowable. I was extremely happy to hear that they have a 30 days return policy on anything you buy there. Their nearby competitor surely doesn't have that same policy. The customer service is excellent and I was able to make my trade as well as buy new hardware. I'm also happy to announce that they are adding a range early next year right next to them. I love that small shop feel of a place vs the corporate treatment where you're treated only as a number. In fact, whilst I was there another customer walked in complaining about that same nearby competitor and how bad they were with customer service. From reservations, to checking in, to lane usage, the whole journey was refreshingly smooth making for a very fun time. The facility was exceptionally clean, well staffed, and the displays of equipment were impressive. Upon entrance, I was immediately greeted by a bright and friendly woman who helped me get acquainted with the procedures. I was checked in by a delightful man named Tim. Tim had also helped me with my reservation and made sure, I was accommodated appropriately. Very professional. This was my first time at a gun range and my experience was limited, so I really appreciate how Tim understood my situation and included other staff members to help make sure I was comfortable with lane and weapons handling. A cool thing I learned, most of the staff is current or prior military. People who really know their trade and love what they do. I respect that. I was also introduced to a superb training instructor named Craig Terry. Craig helped refresh me on the fundamentals and guided me as I re-familiarized myself with the M15. Craig is observant and tuned into exactly the guidance I needed. Craig is respectful. His instruction and patience truly revitalized my confidence and gave me the best insight on what I needed to focus practicing on. I am very grateful to the time Craig gifted me. The lanes are comfortable, clean, and spacious. I didn't feel any hindrance about my surroundings and locking in was seamless. The target was easy to adjust and set nice and fast. The policies made sense and operations were a breeze. Ammo was decently priced and accurate to market value. All costs were very reasonable, especially for the atmosphere provided. I am impressed with the variety of weapons activities offered and particularly pleased with the variety of rentals available. I am beyond satisfied with what I paid for what I got. I had such a great time at Saddle River Range and I've been bragging about the place since. I already reserved two more sessions and I plan to bring a friend. When I went to go pick up my bow I was immediately checked out with doing a paper test first. If any experienced bow hunter knows you have to do a paper test if you get new strings. I ask for help and got a cold response. I don't want to pull the race card but..... I will not be going there again. I had to take my bow to Outlaw Archery to get in fine tuned. just now New Bought a…read moregolf cart and it was too tall to fit in my garage (it was a known issue with the brand I found out after they tried to deliver it) I wasn't told anything about it and the store apparently has a tech that is about as useless as they come because they claimed there was nothing they could do. Tried to speak w the manager who was the most unreasonable person I have ever had the misfortune of ever dealing with so I had to pay to haul the golf cart to ANOTHER dealer not affiliated with golf carts of Houston and they were able to fix the cart to make it to where I could get it in my garage. Had they given me any idea the dang thing would be too tall we could have either bought one somewhere where the tech was able to adjust it or bought a different cart all together. They let it sit up there for two weeks before I started calling trying to find out what they were planning on doing with it. I had the cart hauled to CKD golf carts in league City and they fixed the cart and made the adjustments to get it to fit within a day. I am extremely dissatisfied with our whole experience with golf carts of Houston and if I could do it over again I would definitely buy it somewhere else.
