Great pistol lanes, a solid 100-yard rifle range, unique rental firearms, quality targets, a strong retail selection, and even an on-site gunsmith. They also have an indoor archery range, which adds another layer of fun and versatility. Online lane reservation ability is a plus. Another major advantage is the availability of multiple classroom spaces equipped with presentation technology, making it an excellent venue for training, safety courses, group meetings, and educational events. One feature I especially appreciate is that each lane has cameras that let you evaluate your target without constantly reeling it back in. Now, after the almost 12-hour day I spent with Rey, I feel so confident and ready to purchase my first gun and properly care for it. You learn all the necessities to owning a gun - with great tips and advice from how and what to clean your handgun with, to great holsters that are out on the market. Rey has a great personality and makes the class very entertaining. He provides snacks and beverages which is very kind. From reservations, to checking in, to lane usage, the whole journey was refreshingly smooth making for a very fun time. The facility was exceptionally clean, well staffed, and the displays of equipment were impressive. Upon entrance, I was immediately greeted by a bright and friendly woman who helped me get acquainted with the procedures. I was checked in by a delightful man named Tim. Tim had also helped me with my reservation and made sure, I was accommodated appropriately. Very professional. This was my first time at a gun range and my experience was limited, so I really appreciate how Tim understood my situation and included other staff members to help make sure I was comfortable with lane and weapons handling. A cool thing I learned, most of the staff is current or prior military. People who really know their trade and love what they do. I respect that. I was also introduced to a superb training instructor named Craig Terry. Craig helped refresh me on the fundamentals and guided me as I re-familiarized myself with the M15. Craig is observant and tuned into exactly the guidance I needed. Craig is respectful. His instruction and patience truly revitalized my confidence and gave me the best insight on what I needed to focus practicing on. I am very grateful to the time Craig gifted me. The lanes are comfortable, clean, and spacious. I didn't feel any hindrance about my surroundings and locking in was seamless. The target was easy to adjust and set nice and fast. The policies made sense and operations were a breeze. Ammo was decently priced and accurate to market value. All costs were very reasonable, especially for the atmosphere provided. I am impressed with the variety of weapons activities offered and particularly pleased with the variety of rentals available. I am beyond satisfied with what I paid for what I got. You have to pay for each gun that you bring... what If you brought 5 of their pistols in a range bag? Well, at Carter's Country you will pay $90+ tax just to shoot them! Another negative is that the range officers stare you down like a HAWK. It's their job to keep the range safe, but are they are not friendly. You will wind up chatting and laughing with your buddies during the cease fire only to turn and see an RSO staring you down with a stern look on their face. You have to walk around with rifles and shotguns out of the case. Which I find pretty dumb, too. Other than that, what can I say? I like to shoot guns. I was able to shoot and had a decent enough time thanks to my friends.

It wasn't crowded and getting signed in was a breeze. You have to sign a waiver + watch a short video. Afterward, you show your ID to the attendant and make your purchase. We brought our own firearm, protective eyewear, and aim sheets (idk what they're called). So, we only had to purchase ear protection and bullets. Take my advice and purchase the over the ear protection and not the small orange ones that go in the ear. Ear and eye wear are mandatory. $6 annual fee if it's your first time. They have memberships available. Ashton was the facilitator in the booths and he was SUPER helpful. I walked away feeling more confident and safe handling my firearm. He was patient, knowledgeable, and pleasant! Thanks so much for making this experience an enjoyable one! Because he shared that we should set objectives for shooting when we come, we plan to return to practice different things each time. Great place, worth the coins and the visit!
