While doing the rotors he noticed my ball joints badly needed to be replaced and suggested that I do so. I agreed and allowed him to continue. Mechanic I can trust- SERVICE REVIEW:…read more I recently upgraded to a 2010 Scion XB from a Volkswagen Jetta and it was one of the positive most life effecting decisions I have ever made. Although I could list the multiple poor experiences I have had while owning my Jetta. I want to mostly mention the positive experiences I have had at this dealership. After I bought my Scion I wanted to get it inspected since it was a used car. I decided that I would take my car to this dealership knowing that they would be the best experts. My first interactions with the service department over the phone were very helpful. I was given exact directions and even made an appointment to come into the shop so there would be less wait time. After I explained that I wanted to get the $100 car inspected so I could mention any problems to the dealer before my warranty was up the service technician recommend to save money I should get an oil change instead. For Toyota every oil change comes with an inspection so the technician would just add on all of my inspection requests for the $35 oil change price. I also would then know the last time the cars oil was changed. I decided to get an oil change instead. When I returned to pickup my car the technician had a very clear inspection sheet about all the areas I should take to my dealer. In addition he even wrote me a letter with his concerns so I could have more leverage for the repairs I needed with the dealership. Due to the help of the Scion mechanics I got another $1000 in parts and labor for free from the dealership where I bought my Scion. (See my review of CarMax) During my initial visit the service technician registered my car with Toyota to show the change of ownership and printed out a preventative maintenance schedule so I could make sure to take care of my car. A few months later right as my car had gone 5000 miles I got a post card in the mail from the Scion dealership that it was time for my 35000 tune up and to call and make an appointment. I came in for my second appointment and just like my first encounter with the technicians I was greeted in a helping and professional manner. I was given a full detail report in clear written instructions what was preformed on my vehicle and the information was saved to my car's service account. When I pulled out my credit card hoping the cost would be under $300, I was asked for only $55 bucks. It seems like the dealership wouldn't even break even for the time it took to service my car! I have definitely found honest mechanics that care about customer service as much as they do about the car service. I look forward to having Scion as my primary dealership for the next 100,000 miles of my life.

I took my car into the shop because the transmission was slipping. To make a long story short (because it can be very long) they ended up fixing the brakes on my car before giving me a price or how much anything would be to be fixed. Mind you the brakes we're never our concern,, it was the transmission. When I asked Karen about the transmission, she stated to me that it's not the transmission and it was the brakes and the calipers. I knew it was the transmission but since they are the Auto Experts, I listened. My first problem was the fact that I had paid for labor that was not discussed with me prior to fixing. To make things worse as soon as we picked up the car from the lot and drove it off the car continue to slip. I attempted to contact the lot the day of payment/pick up (April 2) to inform them about the issue that wasn't fixed. April 21st They told me to drop the car off but yet we couldn't get a specific date to drop the car off because they were not responding. Between the end of April all the way to August my wife, mother-in-law, and myself attempted to contact the company. Four months go by and I finally get a response via text message on August 18th, 2021. A guy by the name of Mike on the 24th of August call me to tell me that he test drove the car and realize that the transmission is slipping. He then told me he was going to discuss it with the owners and they would call me back the next day between the hours of 10:00 and 11 am. Karen spoke to me and said if I'm looking for them to put in the transmission, they don't fix Transmissions. I paid a company money to fix a transmission and not one time within the 5 months did anyone say they don't fix transmissions from the day that we initially took it there and told them our problem which was the transmission. They took our money to fix brakes which was not the initial problem. If brakes were the issue, I would have taken the car to another lot for that specific issue. Then brought the car back for the transmission. But the problem still stands they don't fix Transmissions or correction by Mike they can put in Transmissions, they just don't fix them. The owner says they do neither. I'm just finding this on on August 24th, 2021. Also to add the gentleman Mike who works there doesn't actually work there. They had a person who is not an actual employee test drive our vehicle. They scammed Us close to $1,000 for an issue which we did not bring a car in for. The owner even sent me a text message stating why they don't answer the phones because they put off answering the phones for years. I will gladly post a screenshot of that convo. It's from her cell phone number which is left at the end of the voicemail when you call the company. I recommend this company to absolutely no one
