No reliable cell service The directions take you to somebody's property you need to keep driving the campground is not on the left if you're leaving from Chelan or the major freeway it is on your right on the water side. Luckily I have at least two brain cells so looking at the map and the directions I can figure it out. However Google was like take a left here. And the left here was somebody's house where it said this is not an Airbnb. Basic campground nothing fancy. Not sure I would go back. I was only there cuz I was staying one evening car camping waiting to take the ferry to stehekin.

There is a bit of trash around the whole campground. We set a marshmallow bait at night and the next morning guess what happened. Skunks got their grimey little hands and took it again.

Trailhead not well signed and directions confusing, but we parked a mile away and had a beautiful…read morewalk to the trailhead past the lake. Highly recommended as the views on the way in were worth lingering over, including mullein so huge it looked like a saguaro cactus! We took an SUV, but saw some sedans make it past enormous potholes, so it is possible to get there in your Corolla with care, defensive driving and a bit of risk. There were some drop off's and it was hairy encountering other vehicles heading the opposite direction on the single track road, but we managed, and people were polite. The hike was gorgeous and I don't know if this is considered the end of the season or not, but it was cool and cloudy and we did encounter a rattlesnake on the trail just at the edge of the woods where it opens into the valley. It rattled and coiled at us but did not strike. Moving through the clumps of tall grass was a bit nerve wracking after that, but we swished the bushes with a stick and encountered nothing but wasps nesting in an old combine toward the edge of the valley. It was beautiful and we didn't die and we will go back and not die again.

Also if they would kill off the lake as it's so bad now that it's difficult to fish. The town of Conconully is dying. Talk to a local or local business, it's just not the same. If they would fix upper and lower lakes to make it better to fish things would get better, but it's just not what it use to be. Sad to see as I've been coming here since I was a kid and now I'm 41. I really hope they can fix things. The town also need to establish wifi. Sorry, if you come here there is no cell or data service at all, even with Verizon.

Of all the public lakefront recreational areas around Chelan, Don Morse Memorial Park is always our…read morego-to place whenever we're in town. Parking will run you $10 (2 hours) or $15 (6 hours). There is also a 24-hr rate, but I can't recall what it is. For the best parking access, utilize the lot adjacent to the Lakeshore RV Park (TIP: If there's a line at the parking lot pay station, or it's out-of-order, you can pay for parking at the Lakeshore RV Park Front Gate). The parking lot can easily fill up by 11 AM or noon on weekends and spring/summer holidays, so keep this in mind when considering the day of the week you'll be visiting and when you plan to arrive. The park's grounds include a skate park, sand volleyball pits, basketball courts, playground, concession stand, grassy areas, restrooms, some tree-shaded spots, picnic tables, good-sized beach and roped-off swimming area. There's also a boat launch and marina (where it's possible to fish). A go-kart track and miniature golf course are situated in-between the marina (south) parking lot and the RV (north) parking lot, but these are privately run businesses. The only negative of Don Morse Memorial Park is the hourly rate (and maybe the capacity) of the parking lot. Despite this, I still think this park deserves a 5-star review--it's just too good in terms of the layout and amenities it offers.

Great vibe . Large grass area where we put up a shade tent and set up yard game to have a picnic in the park. There are even covered areas. Not sure but maybe you rent those. Large beach area and lots of parking. Plus sand volleyball courts. Super fun day with our friends and family. We enjoy it here and can walk to town. Or if staying at Campbell's or camping at park it's walking distance too.

Restrooms in day use were very clean and well stocked, and I appreciated the swimming area coned off away from boaters so my kids could swim safely. What I wanted to give the biggest shout out to is the staff. Particularly the staff member in the front office she was very kind and welcoming. Also the gentleman mowing the grass I believe he said his name was Griffin. My son approached him and he shut off the mower and answered every question that was asked. He was so polite and kind to my son it made his day. I definitely want to come back especially if Griffin is there, he really went out of his way to be nice and kind to my son even though that he was busy. Very good guest service.
