I…read moredon't have time to play golf but I do have time to eat and fortunately this place has Edgar's Steakhouse which is one of the handful of restaurants in the Laurel, MS area that offers a more fine dining experience. The Laurel Country Club is about the only other spot I know of that does anything similar in the area. Edgar's is well known for their steak and they also offer a nice Sunday Brunch/Lunch experience. So far Edgar's has had the absolute best service I've had at any of the area restaurants in the area. My last couple of visits the experience has been less stellar than the first few visits I made so perhaps something has changed and it does seem some of the staff have turned over. They do have an event venue here as well that is sometimes used and they do have a bar as well that is a bit hidden away if you don't know where to look so make sure to ask if you can't find it. Overall this is your best bet in Laurel, MS for a steak and this is about as close to fine dining as you will find in this area.

We expected honesty and integrity from the staff, especially at a place where people are supposed to relax and enjoy themselves. Not only did this ruin our day, but it left us feeling like we can't trust this course. Management should take responsibility and ensure this never happens again. Golf is supposed to be about sportsmanship and respect, and sadly, that wasn't the case here. Until they address this issue, we won't be returning, and I'd caution others to keep a close eye on their belongings if they visit.

It's too expensive for what it is. The Refuge is $12ish dollars more for 18 and it's night and day difference. Canton Country Club, Hinds CC course, even the Links in Madison are all in better shape and cheaper.
