Whether Oktoberfest is in Addison or Fort Worth, it's always a good time with friends, beer and food! The lines are pretty long for food not so much for the beer. Just wish Oktoberfest lasted until...well October! Lol

We did the 20 mile bike ride which got us admission into the Oktoberfest so we enjoyed the festival after we finished the race. I always enjoy Fort Worth's Oktoberfest one reason is because it's closer to my house the other is because well Beer of course. We couldn't stay long but we did enjoy what we experienced.

I love attending Oktoberfest so i always try to make it out. It was canceled for 2020 but it came back 2021 and you could tell they struggle this year in terms of vendors. There are usually a lot more food vendors along with shopping but it seems that COVID keeps some of them away. There were a lot fewer food stands this year compare to previous years. When you purchase your ticket you get a stein while supplies last. I recommend buying tickets in advance to make getting through the doors easier. They are open Thursday Friday and Saturday but I recommend going thru or fri when is less crowded and by going those days you get a higher chance of getting a stein since it's first come first serve. Each day they are open they have different competitions and live bands for people to enjoy. There are also midway rides available for everyone to enjoy and this year 2021 they had a Ferris wheel but it was not working (sad face). The line for corn dogs and nachos was insane, all I wanted was a funnel cake but I decided to wait till the state fair because the lines there would be much shorter. They had pork chops, schnitzel, German sausage with german potatoes, and of course pretzel and kettle corn. Lots of beer tents and lemonade stands for those who can't drink alcohol. Official parking for the festival is $10 but there are other lots near there that may charge more for further away. Located in panther island there is limited parking on some streets because they are a one-way street but always get there earlier to get the best choice of parking. I drive a compact car and I was able to find parking next to the dumpster at the end of a row of cars because it was so small haha. In the previous years, they had the year on the stein but I noticed this year they did not (no big deal but I did notice). There is a tent where they do sell souvenirs from previous years and you can purchase t-shirts, steins, pins, keychains, and much more but make sure you get there ASAP because when they run out they run out. Security will scan your ticket and will give you a wrist band, no outside food or drinks are allowed but you can bring your own stein if you have it at home. I always try to dress up because I feel it makes it more festive and you can see that in my pictures.

Fun event. Steins of beer were only $6. Live music everywhere. German food galore! Negatives - $10 parking and $10 entry

Locals peddling thier products they have spent hours crafting with love to others in the community. And the city was so supportive of the vendors- the city employees working the event were constantly making rounds insuring everything was going well and the visitors were having a good time. The Mayor even came around and was shaking everyone's hand and taking selfies with the booth vendors. I see you, Mr. Mayor Jim. They had a ton of food and local bands/ performers as well. My favorite was Poly Hwy- go check them out on FB. They were Polynesian and had a very island-y vibe. It was the perfect chill music to have playing while you stroll around. John Tipton was second- dude if you are reading this- that was the best cover of Bad Leroy Brown ever! And all of this was FREE! Silver Dollar Winery was serving up vino- although I wish they would have had the frozen peachy wine slushie- hint hint for next year guys ;). Crazy Cowboy was smoking up a storm and slinging brisket sandwiches and Rahr beer. La Rosita truck was also there in case you had a hankering for a taco. Bedford is a hidden gem guys, real talk. It was a beautiful day and a great spot for all this fun. Bookmark this and meet me there next year!

The pictures looked absolutely stunning and the lineup this year appealed directly to my taste in EDM so I had to check it out. Any festival with Porter, Borgore, Flux, 3LAU, etc in my backyard needs to be attended. The ticket price was extremely affordable for a two day festival ($115). I loved this festival! There was so much room to dance and I never felt claustrophobic like at Life in Color or some other festivals I've been to. The production was incredible. They don't just have LED screens or big LED screens, they arrange them in such a way for each stage that you could have the same artist playing at the two larger stages and get a completely different experience. The LED screens piece together to project different parts of one visual. It's pretty damn awesome. Sound quality was amazing. Large variety of food. Beer was quite pricey for an EDM festival (that being said while I expected pricey beer). Parking is $20 and the lot was extremely easy to get in and out of. There is a massive Buc-ee's across the street from the speedway so it was the perfect spot for post hangover food. There was a surprisingly large amount of out of staters here and it was nice meeting people from all over the states at this festival. It is growing larger every year and it's inspiring to see the rapid growth of EDM in Texas. I hope they one day put this inside the Speedway and we get a three day Texas EDC :) One can dream! As an aspiring DJ who started learning a few months ago, I can certainly say I would love to play this festival next year if I got good enough!

STEPH JUDGMENT: Pleasant park-like venue for concerts/festivals…read more Came here for the NOFX final Punk in Drublic tour and we had a blast! We got dropped off in the parking lot by our Lyft about 30 minutes before the gates opened and had a short walk to where a pretty substantial line had already formed. Staff came by to do ID checks and distribute wrist bands for alcohol, and the entry was smooth and efficient. We headed to the beer tents and spent the next couple of hours doing tastings before the music started. I was glad the day was kind of cool and overcast, as there wasn't a ton of shade or seating in the beer tents area. There was a lone park bench that we were lucky enough to grab for a while. Once the music started we moved over to the stage area, which had an expansive lawn, and locals in the know were prepared with blankets. Alas, we weren't as prepared, but thankfully the grass was not bad to lounge on sans blankets. There were plenty of food vendors and portapotties, as well as picnic tables, and the sound was pretty good. After the show we thought it'd be too chaotic to try calling a car right at the venue, so we walked out about half mile to a Taco Bell to call a car (and get a snack), and it looked like a lot of other people had the same idea. It worked out well, though, and we give our Panther Island experience a thumbs up, despite the fact that it wasn't an island and there were no panthers.
