We were driving through and called ahead for an order to-go. The staff was SUPER friendly and accommodating. We asked how long it would take and our order was ready right when we arrived. We had steak quesadillas, chicken nachos, and steak nachos. The queso Blanco on the nachos was a little spicy(in a great way), and both the chicken and steak were tender. They got everything correct with the order, which is nice when it's to-go and you're on the road, so you're not going back if it's messed up. PS, we were there on a Saturday night, if we didn't have another 3 hrs to drive, we would've eaten there and grabbed an ice-cold beer or two. There were six in our group. Two ordered burgers, two ordered quesadillas, and two ordered four sides. The burgers came out with no issue. The quesadillas came out with sides of okra and green beans. Meanwhile the two ladies were still waiting for their four sides. The waitress informed us that the two sides on the quesadillas plates were really for them so why would you put them on the quesadilla plates. The two ladies ended up canceling their order because they never got their order and the older lady behind the bar was extremely rude and attempted to blame us for the screwup. OMG! We were looking for a place in town to eat while camping at Copper Breaks State Park. Saw mixed reviews on Yelp. Decided to take the chance. So glad we did. The CFS was huge and fresh. Not frozen. We also had the stuffed pepper basket with ranch dressing. So delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and shared info about the building and other buildings in town. To me this is a very great place to eat I love the feeling of walking in and being treated amazing by everyone.

We were camping nearby at Copper Breaks State Park and decided to venture to the nearest town for dinner. The only place open in Quanah we found was Old Bank, and we're glad we did! We sat up in the birds nest (second floor) overlooking a country music crooner strumming away on a small stage and a packed bar/restaurant below. The waitresses were beyond friendly; one chatted with us about the town history and gave us a few antique shopping recs. We ordered the gravy drenched chicken fried steak with cowboy potatoes..trust me when I say bring your appetite. It was a hearty meal that took me an extra 2 days to finish! The portions were extremely generous and the steak & potatoes were slow cooked into a buttery flavorful deliciousness. It was cool to observe the local farmers and hunters socialize over a beer. We were the only non-farming/hunting patrons there so it was a slight fish out of water experience which we enjoyed. Will definitely go back next time we go camping nearby! read more

Stopped in Quanah for the night and was so happy to find this restaurant open late. We sat at their historical bank bar and ordered delicious shrimp skewers and shrimp tacos. We stopped by on our trip through and I'm so glad we did. First, the service was amazing. Every member of the staff smiled and greeted us and was just super kind. The owner ever stopped by to chat and thank us for stopping in. The building was amazing: perfect mixture of historical and modern. There was a small stage I'm assuming for live music & the long bar was super inviting. Our food was great, AMAZING chips, salsa and guacamole (and I'm a Texas gal who loves her chips and salsa!) My only complaint and reason for 4 stars was a limited menu. We came by on a Sunday evening and there were maybe 10-12 options. Would have loved to see the steak that someone reviewed available! As one reviewer put it the outside is a little sketchy. I think it's just lack of signage. The inside was bustling and people laughing. There were no seats available but one of the staff moved from a table and cleaned it for us. The drinks come in tall frosty mugs. We ordered burgers. They were short staffed and our food took a really long time. My guess is it being Mother's Day had something to do with it. The burgers were big, handmade and grilled. They had a great flavor. The manager or owner was concerned about our food taking forever so he comped it which was really nice of him. Over all it was clean, friendly and the food was delicious. A friend and I stopped here after a full day of driving. We were looking for a meal and a drink. We found that and so much more! The smell of the grill alone from the parking lot was enough to make us run inside. The staff was the definition of "Texas friendly" and the live music was the perfect complement to the "you're home" atmosphere. The food was AMAZING!! They were out of everything, and when we finally got our food it was subpar. Food comes out wrong. This is a very typical cowboy place to grab lunch or dinner. A little scary at first when we entered because all eyes were on us. This place is definitely the hang out for locals, being located inside of the little town of Quahna and not along side the main road, so I guess a couple of out of towners are a cause for attention. Service could be better. Only two waitress so even though there was a sign that read "wait to be seated" we waited and ended up sitting ourselves and then waited a little more for someone to come to our service. The waitress didn't acknowledge us even when she pass us by several times. We have a one year old baby but were not offered a high chair. Husband had to ask for it and the seatbelt was broken. The sun hit us in the face while we ate so it was a little uncomfortable. On the other hand, the food was EXCELLENT!. Steaks were very savory and the chicken skewers were delightful. Oh, the bread! Are you kidding me? The roll of bread on the side was phenomenal!. Baked potatoes were perfect too. We just wanted to keep eating. Our compliments to the chef. The price for the food was very appropiate. Not too pricy. We recommend going to this place but we suggest that you go with cowboy hats, boots and style to mingle with the ambience and the locals.
