What a delightful find! We just had dinner there while visiting Canterbury from Indiana. It describes itself as a Gastro pub. The food was truly excellent, with a nice blend of traditional English pub grub (beef pie, fish pie, fish and chips) and newer flavors (fried brie appetizer with cranberry compote, mushroom soup). Everything is locally sourced as much as possible. There were cask ales (my Whitstable Bay ale was wonderful) and a decent wine selection. My wife's cheese cake was the only low point to the meal. The service was very friendly, but not always super prompt. All in all, we were very impressed and had a wonderful meal. read more
