Ambiance: 9 / 10 I love a good theme, and this place fully commits. Everything is space themed, from the decor to the menu. Even the elevator ride up is part of the experience. It is designed like a rocket with a countdown playing, which was such a fun touch. Once you get upstairs, the view is incredible. You can see the Indian River, and if you happen to be there on a launch night, you get a direct view of rockets launching from Kennedy Space Center. That alone makes this place worth visiting. Service: 10 /10 I ended up joining a larger group, and anyone who has worked in a restaurant knows that can be a challenge. Our server handled it so well. I wish I had gotten her name because she was amazing. She kept up with everyone, made sure drinks and food were coming out consistently, and stayed friendly the entire time. Seriously impressive. Food: 8 /10 I ordered the meat lovers flatbread and the Causeway Cosmo. My guy got the tuna poke bowl and an old fashioned, and we also had some nachos at the table. The flatbread was really good, nice and crispy with great flavor. The poke bowl was decent. He enjoyed it, but I am a little picky with poke. The drinks were solid too, well balanced and easy to enjoy. Overall, I am really glad I checked this place out. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit.

On a Friday evening, however, the entire parking lot was full so it was a no-go for us. Kind of glad it turned out that way, though, because Plan B landed us on the moon, aka The Space Bar. The view from the rooftop is stunning! Really the best part of the experience. Menu prices are reasonable. The signature cocktails are fun and certainly worth trying. Food is average. Interactions with our server were awkward at times, but mostly attentive. Getting water we asked for was a challenge, though. I would definitely return. It's a cool hangout spot.

Gold Lion Bar and Deli - Titusville - 4 Stars (very limited circumstances)…read more The beauty of providing this great service to my followers is in certain extenuating circumstances I can be wowed by a restaurant/bar so much that I end up throwing the usual criteria out the window and deliver a fun experience. I am a Brevard County native. I mention this because for years, Titusville was the orphan of the county, while South Brevard sucked up all the population and tax base. However, in 1995, I worked for six months of my life in Titusville. During those six months, I found several very good dining establishments - places that just did not exist in South Brevard at the time. After re-working how I chose restaurants, my first two reviews were La Cita Country Club and the Gold Lion. When I announced I was heading to the Gold Lion, several T-ville local friends warned me not to go. However, the Big Boy can handle himself, so I was not worried about what I might walk into. Upon entering the bar, I was greeted by a musician with a keyboard playing Elton John cover tunes. That made me think, "Come on! How tough could this place be?" As I looked around at the other patrons I noticed an eclectic mix of humanity all enjoying themselves. The bartender Jacob, despite having a packed bar, acknowledged me and took my drink order. He told me this was taco special night - $1 for two beef tacos. I was like, "Really? Okay, what a great loss leader," figuring they are giving away tacos to keep people drinking and make their money on the alcohol. So I ordered two tacos and a scotch rocks. The drink came with over 2 ounces of booze. I immediately thought "Oh boy, here is a $7.00 drink for sure." My tacos arrived and I have to admit, they were no great shakes, but they were 10 times better than Taco Bell and one step above the taco kits at the grocery store. I ate one taco and finished my drink. I asked Jacob for the total, to which he replied "two tacos and one drink......$3.50." I couldn't believe it and asked him to repeat the total. He responded again with "$3.50." I gave a hearty laugh and left $10.00. I am not sure how they can stay open at these prices, but you can't go wrong at that price point as a customer. At this rate, Big Boy says find out when taco night is, and give Gold Lion a try

Wonderful cocktail, beer, and wine menu Had a terrific Swedish pear cider. Extensive menu and can get as much or as little food as you want Had a flavorful onion soup and a roasted beet salad with fried balls of goat cheese. The server went above and beyond to return my friends credit card that she had left on the table. Overall a very fun pla e.

We visited this spot about two years ago when it was in a smaller space and have been dreaming of the Gumbolaya since. When we arrived in Titusville we about cried when we saw the restaurant wasn't there. Not knowing the name we couldn't google the place. But Thankfully the nice folks at the hardware store knew exactly who we were talking about and told us they had moved to a larger space off the main road. We of course ordered the Gumbolaya which was as great as we remembered! We also had the beet and goat cheese salad, debris fries (fries could have been crispier) but flavor was bangin and we ordered the cheese cornbread which was moist and magical! The chefs husband waited on us and he was truly just an amazing human and made our experience that much better! It's clear he loves what he does and believes strongly in the food they put out, for good reason!
