Tour Guide Brian is amazingly knowledgeable about the history of the area. We have taken this tour before and it always gets better with new information in each presentation. Only $15/person, Book for 11 AM, 1 PM, or 3 PM. Tickets at Urban Farmhouse Coffee Shop 927 Front St. 843-833-8130.

This tour was tremendously informative! Jan is a fabulous storyteller and we thoroughly enjoyed her…read moretour. While so much of the South and greater Georgetown area has so much history, Jan did an amazing job at combining hyper local historical facts (like some superhero women and a mysterious disappearance), along with some greater, Southern cultural history that applies to the entire region. Jan was nice and we felt safe as she drove the trolley through the old town Georgetown area. We've lived in Horry County for nearly two years now and have visited the Georgetown waterfront plenty of times, but now it has a whole new meaning with all this historical context. Would highly recommend for visitors or locals who are looking to learn more about the historical significance of the area. The tour is great for families of all ages - but us history buffs with college-aged kids and older especially loved it! We went on a warm summer afternoon/evening. The trolley is covered, but would definitely recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, water, and loose-fitting clothes for the ride.
