I've left less than 10 reviews in my lifetime so that should tell you something. My barber was out of town so I had to scramble for a cut before I left for vacation. Got my haircut from owner Jeremy. Vibes were good, he told me he's been cutting hair for 20 years. Awesome I'm about to get a dope cut. He cut my hair for almost 50 mins so I figured the cut was gonna be fire. He finally turns me around and I look in the mirror and ask is the right side darker than the other left???? He replies, "I don't know" I almost fucking lost it. I WOULD NEVER RETURN HERE AGAIN. Seriously might've been the worst haircut I've ever had. Had to wear a beanie for a whole week to cover up this $40 haircut!!! read more

I originally provided a 2-star review; but within the attempt to save face for your business and barber, provided false information. You replied to the review two years later and decided to make the foolish comment calling my sons, "moving targets". We regularly get our haircuts at a great shop by the name of Specialist Barber Club, that have talented barbers that can cut all ethnicities hair and unfortunately our barber was out of the shop. My usual barber has never had an issue with my children being "moving targets". As we discussed shit happens, but instead of leaving the review. You decided to revisit an old review. In addition, I was emailed on 1/10/20 and it was stated that the barber was new to the shop. An offer was extended to have Dustin make it up to us by cutting their hair again; which we declined, as most people would. read more

If you're looking for barbershop with a good atmosphere, great haircuts, and are on top of safety in the age of COVID, this is the one. I bring my 4 year old here as well and he gets excited every time. You hear me right... a 4 year old gets excited to get his haircut. Tina Tischler cuts my hair along with my kiddos and does a terrific job, but I believe you can't go wrong with any of the barbers. Scheduling online is a cinch. Great people great cuts. They are a high end quality skilled knowledgeable barbers. Their a little pricy but worth it. Hard to walk in with everyone booked up solid. I guess when you give a great cut, listen to the customer or they make suggestions and everyone I have seen walks out with a awesome haircut. Old Gold is my new gold standard. They treat you right, and give an absolutely stellar haircut. When I first moved to Denver, I was fearful I wouldn't easily find a new barber. Luckily, I was wrong! I just took my 4 year old into Golden Standard and his barber was Jeremy. Jeremy was great, my son was not. I felt bad that Jeremy had to deal with him, but he gave him a great haircut even with him moving. Sorry Jeremy, I will definitely bring my son back once he is a bit older and can actually sit still. I happened to tag along for his appointment today since we were out doing errands, and the shop is super rad. Motorcycles, deer heads on the wall, leather couches, pinups and tatts- no frills, but totally comfortable. They were super welcoming of me and the dog hanging out while Eric got cleaned up. My old barber in Denver stopped cutting hair during the pandemic, so I've been looking for a new home. I decided to give Old Gold a shot based on the reviews, even though it's not in my neighborhood. Was able to get in quickly to see Jeremy, the owner, and had an excellent experience. From ease of booking, to starting right on time, to, most importantly, the quality of the haircut, I'm very pleased with my experience and will be back. Also, Jeremy seems to take safety seriously, and ensures that both the clients and the barbers wear masks, do temp checks, etc. They also offer high quality hair products, which I got to sample but did not yet need to restock; I may pick some up next time. read more

Go gain the confidence you deserve from your haircut and lose that feeling of regret that you get when leaving other places that over promise and under deliver. Gold Standard has a great, clean, laid-back atmosphere with chill tunes and a friendly staff. I started getting my haircut from Jeremy before he moved to Gold Standard, when my hair was short and in need of biweekly cuts. He is reliable, easy to book with, and skilled with a razor. Recently, I've been growing my hair out and have a different frequency of cuts, but have continued to use Jeremy as my barber for this journey. And it looks just as good the next day after I've washed and styled on my own. This shop is clear across town for me but totally worth the trip just for the great cut. Great comfortable vibe. Searched and searched for a barber that wouldn't butcher my hair and stumbled across Gold Standard. Booked an appointment with Jeremy, which was easy via online appointment. Showed up to the shop and easily found parking right out front. The shop had an awesome vibe and was fairly quiet considering there were only two barbers working at the time. Got started and could tell right away that Jeremy was the real deal. We discussed what I wanted and he delivered! Finally, a spot where I can get the cut I want and have a enjoyable experience while doing so. I would give Gold Standard more stars, but limited to 5... Great shop! With the motorcycle in the shop, a couple of cool dogs lying around and some very cool artwork on the walls this place is a small slice of greaser heaven. Then Jeremy picks up his clippers and elevates the fade to where it should be...an art form.
