Yes, it is, until you encounter a bank like 5th/3rd Bank located in the same shopping plaza that was unwilling to break a $50 unless I had an account (and ID!!) for the cash-for-cash 30 second transaction. So, 5 stars to this bank that made change without asking me for account information and just being a bank that knows how to be a bank. If I was staying in the area I'd seriously consider banking with this branch because they are low key and hospitable and seem to value the clients that walk in the door.

This bank apparently has chosen to shut down their drive through except for the ATMs. I stood in a…read moreline the other day that was out the door and there were only two tellers open at the windows. There were several other employees running around, but no one made any eye contact with the customers in the line and they kept their heads down as they walked past the line several times. I heard one teller state that the drive through was closed to give a better customer experience. Well having to come inside and wait in a line out the door for 25 minutes was a horrible customer experience. My boyfriend was with me and said that I should look into the Wells Fargo next door where he goes. Very disappointing experience. 2nd experience at this location. $15 fee for a $67 cashier's check. And the girl beside me walked out when they wanted to charge her $9 to cash her $45 check. It's a hassle to change banks but I think it is going to be worth it.

I was a bit hesitant to switch banks from US Bank to Regions post a terrible debit card fraud scam…read morearound 6 months ago... but a broad can only go so far without a functioning bank and debit card. Plus, I was starting to get paranoid carrying cash around all the time. I slowly developed a relationship with this Regions branch as I was cashing my checks (they offer this service to non-account holders). The customer service from the tellers and staff was authentic and they were so gosh durn helpful on each visit. Finally, one of the tellers suggested that I grab some material on their various accounts from an onsite account rep and I took the bait. My personal checking and savings account were set up in less than 15 minutes and I received my new debit card in less than 3 days. I can dig it.
