So this is our second time staying at love song #9. It has been 5 years since the first time. I'm not sure who cleans it but everything was DUSTY. The bed frame, doors, frame of the mirror and lights above the bathroom sink. I don't remember it being like that years ago. It's sad because we wanted that to be our tradition but I'm not sure we'll be back. Tv suck. They have no channels. I wish they would get a smart tv. In the 5 years they haven't changed anything. We would love if they updated a little. My husband found rose petals under the bed from who knows when. Also the front of the neighborhood looks like it's abandoned. Again, don't think we'll be back. My husband and I are really enjoying our time in this quaint cabin! A perfect getaway for the two of us. The kitchen was stocked with necessities and the cabin is clean. If you like to cook, I would suggest bringing a few extra things. We enjoyed the hot tub after our hikes. Would have enjoyed the bath tub but the water was not warm enough to actually take a bath. Really nice that there is also a washer and dryer. The internet connection is not great, but we expected that being in the mountains. Highly recommend! read more

Old Mill Lodging At Echota - Hugs & Kisses - Guest Houses Near Me - Sevierville, Tennessee

Reservations were easy, But then I was going to the place to check in And I called the number they gave me. Unfortunately I got the on call company. And they had no reservation for me in their system. I tried to go through my emails and I had no confirmation number from them. And then all of a sudden I get a text from Someone asking me if I want a Door code. I said yes and she gave me the code, It was really confusing and sketchy that I wasn't in this system. Everything was great about the place. Had all the amenities that I wanted. But it was poorly maintained and constructed. Front door handle came off when I came in. Door handles were put on backwards Management said (they reached out to me) the reason was because of the blinds. I had no interior lock on the front door. The bed was Uncomfortable. It seemed like it was an old mattress with a really big mattress topper. But besides that everything was great. The décor was cute bear stuff! So I didn't complain or anything to management. I figured they were doing the best that they can. But then 3 days later after I left, I got a call from management saying that I broke the recliner. I didn't even sit in the recliner or in the living Room. Nothing looked broken when I was there that i thought they didn't know about in the first place . The only thing I noticed was the door handles installed backwards and the front door handle falling off ( Because it wasn't installed right). Which management clearly told me they installed them that way on purpose. When she told me about the Recliner being broken She automatically told me I was gonna be charged. I then told her about the door handle falling off. She got upset with me that I didn't call and complain. I thought I was being nice by not being picky and taking the place for what it was worth! I never knew about the recliner being broken until management called me 3 days after I left, Now they want to charge me for the Recliner. Their argument is that it was in my contract. And that I should have checked everything when I 1st got there. I didn't know I had to sit in the recliner And test everything in the place to make sure everything's working or they're gonna charge me. I have never had this happen to me before. How was I supposed to know the recliner was broken. I never used it . And it didn't look broken to me. So if you decide to patronize this business Make sure you check everything, Even if it doesn't look broken! check it anyway because they're gonna blame you! I suggest bringing a home inspector with you and getting an inspection report so you don't get any unexpected charges when you check out of the old mill lodging! Lol Because they're trying to charge me a lot of money for a recliner we never even used we didn't even go into the living Room. I was there with my significant other for 2 nights, We spent most of our time in town and on the mountain. I barely used the cabin. Booked our Babymoon stay in a cabin with Old Mill Lodging. The listing listed WiFi as an amenity, along with signs and passwords posted all over the cabin. No router to be found. When we called to fix the problem, Kelli, the manager blatantly lied and said WiFi was never advertised. We have photo evidence that it was. Oh well whatever no WiFi, not a huge deal. The huge deal was when Kelli insulted first my husband, and then myself for being young and "a different generation that believes you need WiFi on vacation". Well when you're in the middle of the woods with no cell service in a tourist town where most places require reservations or tickets, you do need WiFi! But I'm appalled at how Old Mill Lodging management thinks they can treat their customers. If you want to be treated like a human, go somewhere else. We will never use this company again, even if they paid us. Which by the way, they refused to reimburse for false advertisement. read more
