I saw several items that were selling for more than they were in Ottawa (where I'm living now). Selection was also not great. Things looked like they had been picked over. I walked away empty handed. If I find myself back in the area, I'll still stop in, but definitely would not go out of my way to return to this location. There's lots of free parking in the plaza.

I find it has a much bigger selection of sizes and far more clothes than the location in the mall. I usually go here to buy some inexpensive jewellery to dress up my outfit. I get then buy one, get one free. I also love their bags! For around $30 or so, I usually pick up a pretty nice handbag. There is nothing better than shopping for a new shirt and handbag. The staff are friendly at this location. I have asked them to steam a blouse before and they were more than happy to. I always get great service!

Although these brands can be a little more, they do carry a great selection. Now on to the fact that this location is has an outlet side. I only went in to look around so I didn't have to get any help, but I got a few smiles.

Due to transportation/ timing issues I couldn't make it in till after another week so they graciously offered to hold it for me for another week! I have a love/hate relationship with Gap. I find the clothes ridiculously overpriced for the…read morequality. But the thing is, a lot of their clothes fit me just right. That's rare - I have a hard time with that. So for investment pieces, the high prices are worth it. Otherwise, I stay away. But Gap Factory Store bridges the... uh... gap. Not everything's a great deal here, but sometimes I hit the jackpot. If you give them your email address, they send out notices of sales and give you coupons. Last night? I hit up their "up to 70% off" sale, armed with an additional 15% off my entire purchase coupon. While only one item was actually 70% off, between the sale and the coupon, I actually saved quite a bit more than I paid. I do have a major pet peeve - you have to be really careful the item you're buying is actually discounted as listed. Picture this. Bayers Lake, early 2012. I desperately needed an emerald green cardigan (it may have had something to do with a Lego party, but I'd been looking for one anyway). I found one I loved on a tabled filled with identical cardigans of varying colours with a 50% off sign that specified only "cardigans". Tried it on and fell even deeper in love. I was on a shopper's high as I approached the cash register, cardigan in hand. It came up full price. I smiled and explained there must be some mistake - the sign says it is 50% off. The sales clerk sighed and basically shut me down. No discount. I showed her the table and the sign. Apparently last season's colours were 50% off, but green was one of the new colours. So only 2 of the 8 or so colours of cardigans on the table were actually on sale. This sort of thing has happened a couple times since. If not for this, I would gladly go with a 4 or 5 star rating. Also, I think some of the clothes are made specifically for the Factory stores, and some are slightly off season clothes that have just come off the shelves at Gap. I've seen overlap occasionally, with the same item in both stores at the same time. You'll find a fairly large array of women's, men's, activewear, and children's clothing. Bottom line: lots of great deals to be had, but make sure you don't get burned.

I like to buy my jeans at the Gap, and normally, regular Gap has great sales so there's no need to really outlet shop. They don't sell the same kinds of jeans, but whatever... again, it's a deal. I wouldn't recommend going in here and paying the 'regular' price of stuff.. since clearly it's an outlet, and that sweater is going to go on crazy sale in 15 minutes. Needless to say, you can find some great deals in here! It's worth a stop in, if 1.You like the Gap, and 2. You're not looking for something specifically other than a great deal.
