FINALLY, over ten minutes later, it's my turn to return my merchandise and I discover the receipt I thought I had with me wasn't. No problem, EVERY other merchant out there can just swipe the credit card you used and scan the merchandise to issue you a refund, like Target. Not The Children's Place, no receipt, only an even exchange NO RETURN. After standing in line that long and NOTHING gets accomplished, no apology, nothing. The lady had the audacity to lay into my husband with our 2 year old, very rudely about how shopping carts aren't allowed in the store. Fine, I get that. But why the attitude. I left pissed and disgusted with our treatment there. Seriously, don't waste your time. No one will greet you, they could care less about you.

Each time I am in here I always check them out in hopes to find one to add to my rotation. The selection of other items is great here, but not always what I'm looking for. If I wanted single color matching outfits, this is a great place to pick that up. They can then turn around and spend the money on other used clothes in the store. So the cycle of recycle continues :) I love that they had a little functioning kids door! This made my little feel very empowered knowing the store was made for her size and her people. You never know what you might find here, which makes it fun to come and shop! The books that you find there are so full of quality content, the type of books that help parents raise children with intentionality and teach kindness, empathy, and open-mindedness. The organization of the store is fun. When I went, there was a section for summer themed items and travel toys, STEM, dino toys and clothes, and more. I was truly wowed by the quality brands. You find brands like Haba and Usborne. I was particularly taken aback by all of the great Usborne stuff! I'm a major fan, and it's expensive to get that stuff shipped. The books end up being like $20, so it was nice to see them priced so reasonably here. I saw some great write and wipe books on letters, numbers, and math. There were some great sticker books (the type that teach), and I was able to snag a seek-and-find bug sticker book that teaches counting for like $8. It is incredibly engaging and effectively reinforces counting skills in a very fun way. Plus, it gives kids something to do with stickers that's fun and doesn't involve finding them all over your house. They also had some great quality Canadian brand of kids toys that I cannot remember, but good craft kits from them. Aside from the clothing, prices were quite reasonable, and the clothes, admittedly, were better quality than you see at typical kids stores. They were made like stuff used to be made. You know, like actually quality enough to pass down. I definitely plan to make this a regular stop for my birthday and Christmas shopping list. There are no yap yap toys, but pretty much kid-powered stuff that requires a brain to be actively engaged in creative thinking. My kind of stuff! Extremely rude customer service at the store. She reiterated multiple times that I "understand what this means for the business," which felt unnecessarily intense and confrontational. I had no prior knowledge of any box, as the item was given to me already gift-wrapped. I calmly explained this, but was still made to repeat that I "understand" -- over and over -- in a way that felt accusatory and frankly demeaning. I understand that small businesses have return policies, and I respected that -- I came with a valid gift receipt and handled the interaction politely. The issue wasn't the policy, it was the way I was treated. I accepted the store credit, but I left the store with a strong impression of how unpleasant the owner's behavior was. This feedback is not about the outcome -- it's about how a customer, especially a new mother, should never be spoken to that way. I hope future interactions are handled with more empathy and professionalism.

I am very disappointed with Kohl's and its policies. One of the items I ordered was not available for shipping so I needed to pick it up from the store. This was an inconvenience itself since the whole point of me ordering online was so that I would NOT have to deal with parking, driving, etc. to the store. I paid for the total and earned $15 in Kohl's Cash. As a paying customer, I was under the impression that I PAID for my item. I was unable to pick it up and assumed that since I PAID for the item, it would be held. When I went to use my Kohl's Cash, I was informed that it was revoked because I did not pick up MY item that I PAID for. The item was then reshelved at the store and I was told that it would be taken off my bill. I wanted the item. I paid for the item. I purchased it as a gift for my sister. I did not receive a courtesy call that it would be forfeit. I don't understand why this would happen. How is this a good business policy? The customer has already paid for the item. It has become a profit. Why in the world would any company choose to refund the customer for an item that he/she clearly wanted that was bought and paid for? Plus, the customer service I spoke to on the phone was very unhelpful. They tried to be courteous by English was definitely not their native language. I had to call repeatedly until a supervisor told me there was nothing that could be done. Even though I had gone to the storefront to RE-purchase the item.
