Decent store. A bit chaotic but I've been here enough times to feel comfortable navigating throughout the store. There are a few outlets along Fulton Street and Old Navy holds its own. I visited today and their current promotion of $8 PJ pants was pretty good. Everything else in the store was 40% off. I didn't make a purchase but noticed the long checkout lines. It's to be expected with the upcoming holiday although it's typically like this here. For quality clothing, Old Navy ranks last for me after Banana Republic and Gap which accounts for the 3 stars, location aside. I've been here enough and there are some fun items for all ages. read more

I received great service here, but the quality of the clothes has just become awful. Service: started off not so great, the woman at the front of the store was busy looking at her phone, and when I asked where an item was she said she didn't know, the store moved stuff around all the time. Which I get, but if that's all the help she can provide I'm not sure what help a greeter is. When I get up to the register with my selections, I was greeted with a smile. I needed to return two items from two different orders, purchase 6 items, and do an item lookup that ended up being shipped to my home. The very polite young guy helping me never seemed annoyed with all that, and stayed friendly throughout the whole interaction. Then when I was done I asked if they had a bathroom I could use, and he walked me back to the bathrooms and punched in the code for me. That guy gets an A++ from me. The goods: I bought 4 boyfriend button down shirts, one swing tank, and one fleece jacket. The prices were very low, which I was excited about, but you get what you pay for I guess. I wore the fleece jacket the next day and a LOT of fleecey bits started coming off. They completely coated my crossbody bag. Yesterday I wore the swing tank for the first time and my crossbody EVISCERATED the chest area of my tank. It's shredded (it's a normal Muji crossbody bag, no glass shards attached). This is the kind of quality I expect from SHEIN, but I guess that's where Old Navy is at too these days. I think I'll have to largely stop shopping at Old Navy. It's such a frustrating waste to have to throw out an item of clothing after one use, no matter how cheap. Just more plastic junk. I've been here on a couple of occasions looking for things for my daughter. The staff was extremely helpful on all occasions. In fact, I would say the staff went above and beyond because on each visit, the staff member who I asked for help didn't know where the items were, but went an KD sought out another colleague and brought me over to where I needed to be. The store itself is very neat and orderly. Staff is willing to help, which is always a plus. They have a couple employees at the register and they also have a self checkout-- I would definitely return here in the future and appreciate all the quality customer service I've received here so far. read more

I came here to exchange some jeans because I accidentally purchased mid rise.. knowing I'm a high rise girl. I was almost certain they wouldn't have what I was looking for because of the location, I know downtown Brooklyn doesn't usually get the same inventory as stores in the city. I didn't see wide leg high waist jeans anywhere on the floor and couldn't identify an associate because the store was crowded and employees are in plain clothes. I made my way to the fitting room because I knew for certain an employee would be there. She looked up what I was seeking and it showed unavailable, Charlotte entered the fitting room and the fitting room attendant referred me to her since denim was her section. Charlotte dropped what she was doing and took me over to the section with the other exact jeans I came looking for (I wear glasses). The exact wash I was seeking wasn't available but she found me an alternative that was even better. She made sure I was signed up to earn reward points and was just so pleasant, and seemed like such a genuine employee who love what she did. I got on the line and made my way to the register, the cashier was sweet as well and patiently waited on me while I decided on a pair of socks and explained to me the benefits of getting them now Vs. I usually drop by this Old Navy on weekday mornings and have a good experience. It looks like and is priced like any other Old Navy, so not sure what makes this one an outlet store. The store has been organized, neat, clean, and spacious on my visits, and I appreciate having plenty of room to shop. I also like that they have a few self-checkout stations, which have been easy to navigate and are great if you aren't in the mood for human contact (especially these days), don't want to wait in line, or want to take your time folding your clothes. Returns here have also been hassle-free. Lastly, don't forget your reusable bag - shopping bags are 5 cents now. read more

This location is always really well organized and clean. I had to make a return because a shirt I purchased was defective and fell apart. Was greeted immediately upon walking in by a sales associate. Went to this old navy after having such a bad experience with another location. This old navy is way way! better. And very inexpensive. There was like discounts upon discounts upon discounts. This is about an online purchase that I had sent to a UPS access point. UPS sent my package back for whatever reason.. I called for a refund they said they don't do refunds when UPS access point sends the package back???? WHAT You have to go through your bank which is ridiculous and time consuming. I feel like Old Navy used to be cool, and then wasn't cool for a while...but now is cool again! What I mean is, I used to come to Old Navy to buy regular stuff: tshirts, socks, crappy jeans...basically, stuff I'd wear to work lol. Except, then Old Navy got all full of itself or something because prices went up and quality went down...seems like a "thing" because it happened at H&M too. Like obv I don't go to Old Navy to get ready for a fancy event or a night on the town or whatever...so don't try to act like you're something you're not! Anyway, clearly at least this location has had a reality check because I've been to this convenient and well organized Old Navy a few times and they always have what I'm looking for at a really good price. Need some work out tshirts? here you go-5 bucks. Low on summer dresses? buy 3 for 30. Umbrella? here's a pretty one you can throw in your purse for ten bucks. This is where I go when I need something but am not feeling super picky-why buy a 50 dollar sundress if I'm only going to wear it to the park?! It's amazing the [positive] changes that have taken place on Fulton St in the last few years. The most recent change - the opening of an Old Navy store. A shiny and new and clean and well organized [for now] Old Navy. Now, it might just be the shape of the store - but this Old Navy seems a little smaller than some of the others in the city. Not that I'm complaining - the women's department still had plenty to see. However, the men's department seemed a little smaller than I've seen in other locations. My objective today was to simply to make a return, so I made my way over to the registers, got in line and observed that there were only two cashiers. The line grew very quickly behind me but a manager noticed and called for reinforcements almost immediately. ::applauds manager:: It's always good to see staff being proactive. The return process was easy. No complaints there. In fact I don't think I have any significant complaints. As mentioned before - the store is pretty new - so it was really clean, bright, well organized, and fully stocked. At least for now it's a lot (and I mean A LOT!) better than the Old Navy at Atlantic Terminal. And the location is great too - right next door to H&M, Nordstrom Rack and down the block from Gap Outlet. I have no doubt I'll be shopping in this ON again soon. read more

I forgot to get the name of the cashier, but her name started with a "C". She was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was already flustered trying to find my son (age 12) jeans that could fit. From the moment I walked into the Old Navy store, I was greeted and able to find some jeans my son could try on. The line was long however it moved quickly because all registers had cashiers and there was an associate asking customers if they were interested in the loyalty program. Once I got to the register with my son, the cashier greeted us and was very personable. My son mentioned the new PPE barriers that the counters have and he and the cashier had a brief conversation about it while she rang up the clothes. It was a great experience. I donated the $5 to your kids charity and joined the loyalty program. read more

This place is a nightmare! Here's the thing; I worked retail for many, many years... I get it. Everything wrong with this store is the result of poor management and lack of motivation. It starts off nice but as you delve deeper, the displays kind of crumble until they're non-existent and what was once racks of clothes has become just piles and piles of clothes. Piles everywhere. It's like an episode of hoarders. Again, as someone who worked retail, the sight of those clothing piles gave me heart palpitations. I dug out some things I hoped would fit-- nothing was what the sign said they were so it was a real treat to play detective. I went to the dressing room--- which was like another room in a hoarders episode. I counted 6-10 dressing rooms but only 3 were accessible because of the sheer amount of clothes everywhere, blocking all the other doors. So of course there's a line. Nothing fit and I couldn't find any other sizes so I just grabbed what I could and went to pay Again, I counted 5 tills but only 2 were open (the others were buried under, you guessed it, clothing). Clothes everywhere. The line winded around the store as the poor cashiers did the best they could, smiling through it. I waited for 45 minutes.... 45 minutes-- Disney world has shorter lines. But as the line grew and grew and people became more restless, I didn't see a single employee stepping up to help. No one rang for assistance (maybe they couldn't). A manager showed up for a return and scampered off (avoiding eye contact with the long line of people). Other employees emerged from various rooms but none of them stopped to help or care. Have you ever seen Yellow Submarine? The scene when Ringo is walking down that long hallway of doors and people and creatures scamper through various doors and hide as soon as he turns around... it was a lot like that. Nobody could be bothered. If I worked here I would've quit; no help from coworkers. I will never ever go back there. In fact, I kinda hope it closes because honestly, it's a lost cause. The amount of clothes, piles and piles-- there is too much apathy and clothes for the place to carry on. Management needs to get it together. I hope they do, but I'm never coming back so I'll guess we'll never know. But hey, if you wanna waste 45 mins and be overwhelmed by employee apathy, this is the place for you! read more

I stopped by this store last night around 8pm. I had a return from an online order. The store was clean and organized and the employees were so kind and helpful--at the end of a long Friday in the middle of pre-Christmas rush! I left with a great feeling. I was doing a bit of shopping on a Sunday afternoon when I stumbled across this new Old Navy. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised that the store was not overly crowded. The store itself, was very clean and organized. Even though there were a lot of summer clearance items there were not things raggedly hanging around or thrown on the floor. I only had one encounter with a sales person on the floor but he was super attentive and was able to point me in the right direction of a jacket I was looking for. The checkout line was somewhat long when I entered it but it moved at a good pace. This will definitely become my go to Old Navy in Brooklyn. The other Old Navy location located near downtown Brooklyn could definitely learn a thing or two from this place. read more

This is actually an outlet, but for all intents and purposes, their selection is as wide as a regular store. Sure, they'll only have a few sizes of each style, but they'll be 30% or 70% off the original price. There are bathrooms in the back. Checkout lines are horribly long though. read more

Unbelievable! So many employees on the floor yet none behind the register. I don't understand management? Complaining about labor being too high yet you have workers lurking around folding the same shirt twelve times. It makes no sense to me. I waited online far too long for no reason. I was never an Old Navy type of person but since I was next door at the Rack I figured I would stop in (plus its new). This is the best Old Navy I have ever seen. First of all, everything was on sale. Secondly, the clothing is on point; nice quality t-shirts, an array of denims for all body types that aren't cheap-looking, on-trend pieces, and a large workout clothing section. Lastly, the store has a lot of room, is lit very well, and gives off a very fashion conscious vibe unlike most Old Navy stores I have come across in the past. I came in late and the crowd was very stylish. The line moved quickly too. In a nutshell, this is a great addition to downtown Brooklyn. read more

We purchased 500.00 worth of items to be shipped out of town. Out of the purchase their was a straw hat that I picked out for my husband and was told I can't exchange or return the item without a receipt. Yes understandable but the item was only 16bucks or something like that. No help only thing they said was we will send u a gift certificate in 2 weeks. So therefore I'm at a loss at how nobody wasn't able to try to assist me. So my resolution is to tell my sister to take everything back to the all the items back to the old navy thats by her house in Pennsylvania, and get a full refund and goto Macy's or some other dept store for the purchase. Shopping at this particular Old Navy has been nothing but a pleasure thus far. It's very clean and organized and the staff is very helpful but not overbearing. One of the managers, Toya P, was very visible, making sure her staff had what they needed and were doing what they were supposed to be doing. The girl helping me and my wife in the fitting room was also very helpful. Her name started with Sean. Today, I stopped by this location to return an item I bought online. The store was messy and crowded. I wanted to ask a question about my return before waiting in line but it was hard to identify any employees walking around. The line was really long (25+ people) and there were only 2 people working the check-out, so the line moved at a snail-like pace. I'm not sure if today was unusually busy because it's back-to-school season, but next time, I will try to find a location that's less chaotic. read more

This pertains only to the Old Navy store on Fulton Street---one of the worst experiences I ever had trying to buy something. I was there on Sat. 8/12/'17 and ended up on two lines for over an hour, and finally left without getting a receipt--something was wrong with the mobile machine. After waiting on line about 20 minutes, a announcement came on that if you're charging your items, there's another line with someone is using a mobile machine (think that's what it's called.) After about 15 minutes, two customers began charging hundreds of dollars worth of items that took more than a half hour; when the salesperson saw my annoyance she said there's another line starting up. I wasn't about to fall for that.Then the salesperson had to take them to the register, and do something there and took an extended period of time. When she finally got to me, checked out my one item (jeans) she couldn't seem to get it to print out a receipt. I have no idea if I was charged for the right amount or not since I don't have a receipt.I've been shopping at various old navy stores for years, but the one on Fulton street Brooklyn is the most understaffed, and has the worst lines.
