It's not fully high-tech yet, as a lot of the older records are still in large, ornate, books. But those records are very well organized, as we found out a few years ago when needing to obtain some family records. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. They offer services for seniors such as free photocopying. Be sure to drive by on December nights to check out the Christmas tree in the front of the building.

On each occasion staff addressed my presence in a manner which ensured that I did not have to wait for others to leave who were already being served ahead of me. An office person working at their desk would promptly come to the counter to assist me. Each worker I've met on every visit was friendly, showed a full understanding of what my needs were and either directed me to another worker who was able to handle my requests and answer my questions, or was able to provide me with the appropriate forms and information on how to complete those forms and submit them for processing. These folks are serious about serving their fellow residents and should feel as proud about the job they do as I feel good about coming to them for help.

I have come here daily to study for my…read moreNational Board exams coming up as I was hoping this would be a good place to have peace and quiet to concentrate and get into the testing mindset. That is not at all the case. There are loud conversations by staff and visitors and no one cares to enforce the quiet rules. I even reserved a study room and there were still loud conversations I could hear through my headphones. There are also people that just come in to wait for the bus, loitering, and have this as their meeting place for many things. They sit at the tables and talk with no intention of using the library for its actual use. Even though it is a public place there needs to be better security of noise levels and using the library for its intended use. Maybe enforce group study rooms, silent rooms, private rooms, etc. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I just wish it were a quieter, peaceful environment. Great place to come in, grab a book, and leave.

It's quite impressive, and I think nicer after the renovations in 2020 after a fire. Most of the offices you would typically visit are on the main floor. Signage is adequate, but many of the doors lead to offices or windows for multiple functions, so read carefully. Other functions, such as courts and police offices, will be on other floors. There is a ADA-compliant ramp and an adjacent parking lot. My business there today was in the City Clerk's office. They were helpful, friendly, and prompt. Unfortunately, there's only 1 chair available, so be prepared to stand if there's other folks waiting for assistance.

It's a good place to bring your kids and try the Spring water. The water flows here from Loughberry Lake, the City's water supply. You will find a lot of people using this Spring water and filling them up in bottles.
