Came to our home over two weeks ago to quote a job to replace flooring with new plywood with LVT flooring. Stated he would like to have the installer come by with him in a day or so to look at the job. We went into the store and picked out flooring. We expressed that we wanted to get the job done the first week of May. A week later we were back in the store and the person we talked to said he got with the owner who stated he call to set up time first of the week. Another week later still no call. Went to the store to take back the sample. The same gentleman stated he would give the owner the message stating we are still waiting on him. Called two days later spoke with a lady about not hearing anything. She stated she Would have him call me. Two days later I stopped by the store, a young girl asked if she could help and my name. The owner came out from back as I was explaining to her that we have been waiting on him for over two weeks. He addressed her as if I was even there. He told her " I will call him Monday". I asked who he is referring too? He stated - you. Couldn't even address me directly. I suggested he not call me and that he business manner is awful. He statement was "whatever".

I have an older home so it's taken quite a bit to get my home up to code. They are very clean and professional. When they leave my home is cleaner than when they got there. But this weekend is where I became a loyal fan. Sunday, July 3, a storm set it. I heard a huge noise and couldn't tell if it was thunder or fireworks. Turns out it was neither. I have old 50-foot trees in my back yard. I love them so I leave them there. A lighting bolt struck a tree and the boom I heard was a large branch falling on my house and across my driveway. My garage is in the back of my house so I couldn't leave until I could get the branch removed. I remember that they also do handyman work so I thought I would ask if this was something they could handle and, even though I felt awful asking, if this was something they could do on the holiday so I could get out of the house. They had someone out to me the morning of the 4th. Being a holiday weekend, I would have been happy if they just got the branch off my house and driveway, but they cleaned up the entire branch. He didn't show up for the initial appt., and rescheduled for the following week- even then he was an hour late. We discussed the repairs and he said he would email an estimate. After hearing nothing for weeks, I reached out to him and he said he would have it by the end of the week. The following week, I reached out again and finally received an estimate. From there on, I would hear NOTHING from him unless I initiated contact. Then the excuses started.. I dealt with this man for three and a half months, with him ghosting me the entire time. At no time did he ever fulfill a promise, or meet a deadline. The last straw was him AGAIN failing to provide information on the repair. That was Feb. 25, and, you guessed it, CRICKETS! I have to wonder what part of "Do It Right" applies to his business.

Marvin is a true artist, he loves wood and works magic with a sander. He's reliable, a rare character trait in a tradesmen but he actually arrives when he is scheduled and finishes when scheduled. He's extremely knowledgeable, which is most helpful when deciding timing of refinishing given variations in temperature and humidity in our area. He's also fair and worth every penny you'll spend. I highly recommend Marvin and would hire him any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
