Tony and I stopped at Old Time Pottery looking for something for his Mother's upcoming birthday but we were unable to find anything decent. Place was almost barely cleaned out. Christmas stuff was 75% off but nothing left to choose from Mainly looking for something outside for her yard, Garden or even family cemetery but nothing hit our fancy. WOW. I cannot stress how much I LOVE this store!!! We have been coming to the area for over a decade and I have been trying to convince my husband to stop in for just as long- haha. It doesn't look like much from the outside. My husband's grandmother was serving dinner with some really nice dishes and I asked where they were from- low and behold- they were from Old Time Pottery and I told him he would have to stop in before leaving. We went one night about an hour before closing so it wasn't too busy and just wow, they had wonderful prices and quality items!!! I am kicking myself for not stopping here sooner. I wish we had one in Texas where we live, but I still managed to buy a few serving bowls that came back with me and I use all the time. We will be back for sure, I want to buy everything! read more

This store is huge. I could literally spend hours browsing around. They have a huge inventory--kitchenware, furniture, household goods, decor, outdoor furniture and decor, artificial flowers, etc. The store is super organized and the aisles are wide. The prices are decent. The Easter decor is out and located near the entrance. The restroom is clean. read more

Went to purchase cemetery flowers, paid for them and cashier did no bag purchase when I asked for a bag the cashier responded we don't have bags. As I left i noticed other cashiers bagging other customers items. I asked for a bag from a younger person assisting the cashier who responded we don't put cemetery flowers in a bag and it doesn't seem like anything is wrong with your hands. If I were the store manager I would fire her on the spot just for treating a customer that way. We won't be back and I will spread the word on all social media platforms the kind of incentive morons your store hires! read more

The shopping is amazing, you name it they have it ! The prices are decent too ! Unfortunately there's no service help , the manager is very rude and I would even go as far to say nasty ! I frequent the store often and excused it in the past but tonight I let her know I won't accept it anymore. Was trying to buy a Christmas , but the one I wanted didn't have a description tag on it , I said the one I want doesn't have a tag on it , before I finished she rudely says EVERY TREE HAS A PRICE TAG ON IT ! I went to old time Pottery in mrytle beach SC Loved the store I purchased the snowman 6' snowman tree. I couldn't wait to get home to put it together . Well needless to say the top portion of the tree didn't light - it appears the light cord doesn't connect (cut) n the head doesn't fit in the pole it's supposed to connect to. Since I don't live in SC I can't return it. I will need to make an insert rod to connect the head to the tree n get bright white lights n hopefully they will work Very disappointed Sherry read more

Warehouse style business with lots of gardening and home decor and seasonal items. Very reasonable prices for good quality items. I thought the furniture items were the only over priced items. Clean store with friendly staff. I always make it habit to come when I'm in the area. If you've never been before, you should go at least once. Just wanted to take a moment and give a shout out to the manager on duty today, Dave. I've been shopping for a rug for two weeks now. I knew I wanted to get it from Old Time Pottery because let's be honest, you can't beat their prices! However, I had been there 3 days in a row and either the rugs I liked were sold or were too small. Today, I asked Dave for some help and he offered to go to the back and pull rugs that he thought would match my home. I am beyond grateful for the kind customer service he gave me. We are regulars at OTP. The majority of the time we are extremely happy with our purchases and the employees. This morning was a little different and we left sort of shaking our heads. The cashier made an error with our change and we were initially given back ten dollars less than what we were owed. A mistake - it happens. My husband said, "I gave you forty dollars" to which the cashier responded, "no, you gave me thirty". He said he knew he gave her 40 because he didn't have any tens on him at all when the bill came to $29. Someone else came over and counted the drawer. When the drawer opened the cashier saw that she had put his 20 accidentally in her tens slot, and she quickly moved it to where it belonged without saying a word. Okay, no big deal. But then while the other woman was counting her drawer, the cashier took out her phone and nonchalantly checked her texts, didn't talk with us or offer any kind of recognition that she had made an error... crickets. Even the other woman who came to count the drawer just walked off when she was done counting. We felt completely invisible. The cashier then tried to give us more money back than what we were owed, and my husband helped her with her math. No apology, very unprofessional when they realized it was their mistake and not ours. We believe it would be great if maybe they could have acknowledged the error and been a bit more friendly. Love this place! I lived in Surfside for some time, and Old Time Pottery helped me furnish my townhouse for very reasonable prices. You can get everything from garden supplies to curtains in here. The store is huge, so expect to take some time finding what you want. It is, however, fairly well organized and clean, which make shopping a little easier! read more

If the was a zero star I would have marked it. For starters the address and phone in yelp are incorrect then you go to web site you have to really look to find Sc location. Then it tells you 1870 N kings hywy MB but wait that wrong too They are in Surfside Beach GPS can't locate yelp has no idea closes store is Wilmington and they were clueless. I encourage my friends and family NOT to shop at Old Time Pottery. Yesterday Myke and i went there as we done on a regular basis to get flowers for the Chapel for Easter and this is how we were treated. We have shopped there ever since we moved to Myrtle Beach and have never been treated this way before, but once was enough. Here is the message i sent to their corporate office yesterday with no response. Apparently they dont care much for their customers or how they are treated. Today was the worst experience i have ever had in a retail environment. At approximately 2:00 pm my partner and i were in the check out line and we were trying to help the clerk by sorting out the many stems of flowers that we wanted to purchase. There were several of each and we were putting them in bunches and placing them on the counter so that all Louise had to do was count them and scan them. Louise BARKED at my partner "you don't have to throw them at me" which i assure you he did no such thing. Obviously Louise was having a bad day right from the start because when we approached the register we greeted her with a "good afternoon" and did not receive any reply at all from her. To make matters worse one of the items we wanted to purchase, a fabric remnant, rang up at $5.99 per yard (6 yards) and when i pointed out that the price was incorrect and the sign on the table said $3.49 per yard she proceeded to tell me "you are wrong, it doesn't go on sale until Thursday" I asked her to void the item because i didn't want it at that price and told her that someone should check the sign that stated $3.49 per yard, she got hateful and called for Denise, apparently another cashier having a bad day who was very upset that she had to void the item from our ticket.Denise, in a hateful tone of voice told me that the sale didn't start until Thursday, when i pointed out that someone may possibly have put the sale sign out prematurely. Denise grabbed the fabric and stormed off mumbling under her breath, although loud enough for me to still hear her, "stupid faggot" . Well we continued to check out and asked for a manager. When Woody showed up, he asked what the problem was and we explained that we have been customers in this store for over 2 years and spend on average between $100, and $200 per visit. He apologized for their behavior, and assured me that he would speak to them and resolve the situation. The situation is not resolved at all. We have no intention of shopping in your stores ever again, this type of bigoted, verbal hatred is not acceptable in this day and age. yes we are homosexual, but that has no bearing on our status as customers, we deserve the same respect and common courtesy as any heterosexual customer in your establishment. Cashiers and customer service personnel need to be taught that if they are having a bad day, the customer can never know this, and lastly how can your manager Woody resolve the situation when he didn't even bother to get our contact information. I don't think i am going to spend another penny in your stores and i will advise my friends and family to shop elsewhere. I realize that this probably wont make much of an impact on your store and you will probably never miss us or our money, however, if you don't do some training in customer service, others will follow our lead and choose to spend their money elsewhere. Yes "CHOOSE" we chose to shop your establishment in the past but now we choose to spend our hard earned money elsewhere from here on out.
