Love Old Town Clovis! So many cute little shops and amazing eateries. Many antique stores that one could wander around in for hours. Great events throughout the year. The only real drawback is trying to find parking when those events are going on. I was in Old Town this evening, hoping to check out the farmers market. When I lived in Clovis, it was on a Friday evenings. The signs today indicated it would be tomorrow morning. Not sure if it's a covid thing, or the wrong time of year. Anyway, Old Town is really cool. Be sure to check out all it has to offer when things become normal or new normal again.

For a complete video: take a look at my YouTube Channel & subscribe : www.YouTube.com/User/ElizLipsey_elipz Amazing place to go for walks, shopping, dining, bars, and many other engaging activities. As I take long walks with my two dogs , this is one of my favorite places to explore. My pictures show many of the sites and people you will find in Town Clovis. I appreciate the numerous sculptures honoring our service men& women. Special attention is give to WWI Veterans, in "the walk of honor" a section of beautiful trees that commemorate WW1 Veterans. Next time, I plan to explore the nightlife, do, going without dogs. I have several restaurants I want to try Also, explore the night clubs_ comedy club, dancing, karaoke etc. so much to see, so much to do!!!

This should be the prime "to-do " list for any tourist visiting Fresno and Clovis because old town clovis really is like going to Disneyland based on the fact that it resembles one major part of disneyland, and that part is called main street USA. The resemblance is almost uncanny, with its whimsical buildings, detailed fixtures, brick walls, classical wide streets, antiquities, the old style of everything. I truly love the authentic feeling of America here, it really feels like the good old times, this is basically what a foreigner like me would think about or vision before coming to america, I mean this is the image we foreigners think of america. It recreates the carefree time and happy memories for most people, but most importantly for youth like me its an adventure in turning back the calendar to the days of its founding fathers. It also feels like your on a set of a hollywood old western movie. Its quite a huge ground to cover, so wearing comfortable clothing and shoes is important, parking is free limited to 2-3 hours, which is more than enough to walk around and eat, and there are longer term parking here too, with signs showing where to park, but overall old town is definitely one of the most unique places in America to visit and a true identity of Clovis California, there is no place like this in California except maybe disneyland. It would be a shame to not see it. Pop into the visitors centre, which happens to be an old train depot, very unique looking building with victorian architecture, its hard to miss on Clovis avenue to find more information, its a visitors centre so it will be very helpful. This is a heaven for antique hunters since shop after shop is selling antiques, also after a busy day of shopping antiques, there are plenty of coffee shops and eateries around the area to fill your hungry belly, with some of the best and finest restaurants such as Trelio and Rev located within the vicinity. Spas, Barbers, Salon also is conveniently and randomly located on this classic town, perfect for locals and visitors to find a retreat. There is even a mini-museum located on the square. Taverns and bars for thirsty visitors are also plenty around here. Many events are also held here including the Evening Friday Farmers Market (May-Sept), and the spectacular big hat days. Stroll walk and engulf in the tradition, history and art of this place. Its also great to visit one the the most beautiful coffee shops- kuppa joy.

We were on our way to Santa Claus Lane and I remember from last year (when it was too late) that there was a sole performer around Sunnyside/Locan area in Fresno. I google and found their website. The website itself is already foreshadowing quality as the site itself is superior than the other bigger/major light show neighborhoods in the area. I get to the house and I was in for a treat---we were the only car there to spectate. The entire house is covered with lights and the lights are dancing with a song. You tune in to the radio station and just enjoy the show. This isnt a cheap animated light show. The way everything is synced and setup is top notch. This is really some pro-grade stuff here. The detail and time put in to executing this I can only imagine but myself and my family greatly appreciated. It was highly enjoyable and the BEST lights and light show in the Fresno/Clovis area (remember thats a combined population of 700,000 people. The other attractions--sure they bring dense quantity of homes that are lit up and decorated, but this one house by itself is amazing by itself.

I saw somewhere that the trail is about a 2-hour drive. That pace seems to me to be at race speed, and way too fast to enjoy the sights. We took about five hours to drive the trail, and that was a comfortable speed. Given how much business and pride the Blossom Trail could drive to Fresno County, the trail appears to be a bit neglected. First, the Google Map download from the Fresno County website is practically useless for navigation using the Android Google Maps app. The app continuously tries to optimize the point-to-point travel, which too often takes one off the preferred and official route roadways for seeing the maximum number of blooms. Occasionally, there are Blossom Trail signs marking the route and turns, but some are either hard to spot or missing: more signs are needed to enhance route navigation for visitors, most of whom are not familiar with the area. Lastly, the map downloaded and printed from the Fresno County website is at such a small scale that it is very difficult to read, and if enlarged, gets blurry and even harder to read. Clearly, Fresno County has done a "government" job at the simple task of marking a route. Lastly, I would highly encourage Fresno County or the Farm Bureau to work with the landowner to put up signs that identity the type of orchard, vineyard, or crop. There used to be blue signs along the fences on I-5 that identified crops, and those were appreciated. The landowners and farmers benefit because the signs instill knowledge in the public and a public that knows about agriculture will support agriculture. Overall, despite the navigation challenges, the Fresno County Blossom Trail provides for a beautiful roadtrip.

The map is confusing and took a lot of time to comprehend. Throughout the trail, you may find orange blossoms, cherry blossoms, almond blossoms, and pear blossoms, however it really varies based on the season for its full blossom. The website recommended Mid February to Mid March. Additionally, some areas may look better than others. If you look at my photo, it looks fairly empty. BUT we did see some pretty full ones in other areas... a lot of them are fenced off. If you're able to find some that aren't blocked, you can easily pull over and take photos. So be prepared to do some searching.

He answered all my questions and was so open to conversation. You could tell Raul was proud to be there telling all of us how the Gardens came to be. The Gardens are very interesting. I've never seen anything quite like these. The smell of all the citrus trees combine with the natural cooling underground was amazing and made the tour comfortable.
