We cannot recommend Old Town Editions too highly...we/I have been working with them literally for decades for all out exhibition work and they simply are the best. The owner, Rachel Baron, is delightful and her staff also is great. They have a beautiful office/display space in Old Town that is a cinch to get to. --Frank Van Riper and Judith Goodman--Goodman/Van Riper Photography

Fantastic work and such wonderful staff. I was coming from out of town to do a community art project and these folks are the BEST!

Old Town Editions has been my choice for scanning and fine art reproductions for several years. Very high quality and easy to work with.

Shoddy Work, Over Priced and Dishonest!!!!…read more I used Dale photo and Imaging Center in Old Town Alexandria a few months ago and the customer-merchant relationship went south very quickly due to the owner's poor attitude. Everything started off fine. I had some business cards printed for our company and when we received the product it was not acceptable. (I should have gone to Kinko's and saved $300) but I digress. To cut to the chase, I told them I was unhappy with our faded logo and paper stock which looked used and very worn on the edges?! Bottom line, this customer wasn't satisfied! When I told them that I wasn't happy with the product. The owner made many excuses and begrudgingly decided to redo our order (at no charge). There was never any yelling or screaming just discussing their unsatisfactory work. Hey, whatever happened to the customer is always right?! I received the corrected order (so I thought) only to discover an even worse job. Our company logo looked bad (on 90% of the cards) - If it could look good on the first 10 pages, why did the remaining cards look so bad? Also there was the same old looking paper stock. The pages weren't crisp, clean and new looking,; they were like the first order. Just really bad card stock and faded colors. To make matters worse, they charged our company Visa card twice, even though I was told they weren't going to charge us for the (very bad) reprinting job. I questioned the owner about the charge and she said she had to charge us because she ended up losing money on the deal. So when all said and done, we paid almost $400 for a product we can't use. Our company staff was shocked by her poor attitude and lack of concern for her customers. My advice is...run, don't walk...away from Dale Photo Imaging Center in Old Town Alexandria. I give them no thumbs and one star and even one star is too much!

I had minutes to spare to secure another available vendor to arrive at an anniversary event boat cruise in time to board and prepare for the event. I bided the job out to several vendors and decided to go with Exquisite Imaging to support my local area. Although $100 over my originally contracted price, it was worth it due to the limited timeframe. I also had to include the photographer as an event guest, so I paid the extra $170 for him to board the ship. He definitely had great energy and fit in well with my guest. Sincerely grateful for the great presence. My only gripe, and it is a very big one for me, is that while in the process of waiting for the link to my event photos, he shared my link with my guest (most unpaid by the way), they were sponsored and their tickets paid for as well (FREE for THEM), just like his. That was not cool at all, and not his call. He only had one customer, that's me the PAYEE! My goal, as mentioned to the photographer, was to build the event book with the digital photos that I paid him to take. Mind you, he shared them without consent. He mentioned that he wanted to make the customers and guest happy. Wait what? There is only one customer that shelled out almost $600 ($400 for the photography job; and $170 for his premium dinner cruise ticket on the Spirit of Washington), a two-hour event to celebrate my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. His obligation was to honor my request. Not go all out and give out my paid for products to others for free. I had not had the opportunity to even review for appropriateness or decide which items I was going to include. Very bad business. "People don't care how much you know, until they know you care." The main request my mother and father had for their anniversary was the photo book. I was livid to say the least. My contract was one-on-one with the photographer...One customer. The pictures were great, but my business experience with him just washed out all of the good from our very short union. I could legally make him accountable for his actions but am choosing not to go that route for the good that was there for a split second. The experience ruined his entire purpose for being there. Done!

I'm giving this one star... because... you have to at least give it one star…read more I'd give it "0" if I could. Where to begin? I know! NOTHING WORKS! I attempted to get three lousy pictures from my camera submitted in order to get them printed as photographs. That... is apparently not possible at this site. The "add photo" button kept rejecting my three photos with no reason as to why- it didn't even attempt to upload them. So, I checked the tutorial. The page the lady is on in the tutorial looks absolutely nothing like the one I was looking at. She's telling me to click on things that are simply NOT there. Dale Photo Imaging- if you are going to have a tutorial... make sure the damn thing matches your webpage. I attempted to log on to the live help. Selected the drop down for "Problems Uploading" Which... is apparently... NOT a valid selection? IT'S YOUR SELECTION! YOU PUT IT THERE. I didn't MAKE IT UP! After ten minutes trying to get to a live person to talk to- I gave up. And, then, I came to Yelp. HORRIBLE.
