I bring my boombox to keep me company playing some Isley brothers or barry white ya digg that good music to keep your mind smooth!!! Oh yeah one good feature this park has is if you come after hours there is a button to turn the lights on thats dope!!!!!

You enter this 4.65-acre park by driving through the gates. In 2023, it was enhanced with a new play structure with a shade canopy, new fencing around the multipurpose field, fresh sod, and new paint. Other amenities include a lighted soccer field, a multiuse field, a basketball court, picnic areas with grills, and a restroom. Ironically, for a park called Veterans Memorial Park, I did not see an actual veterans memorial. I wouldn't say you need to go out of your way to visit this park, but if you live in the area, it is a nice place for a picnic, youth sports, outdoor exercise, or to take the kids to play.

As soon as my son began the vigorous exercises, the coach he was paired up started explaining how to do the exercises and corrected my son on what he was doing wrong. The coach, Coach James, did many different drills, from conditioning, speed, agility to making sure the players had a good form. They really stayed through their model. You will not be disappointed. The other thing the a like that at the end he give some advice to my son in what he needs to work on.The entire experience with these trainers was really amazing.

They talked with our boys to help them understand that there is more to life than just being good at a sport. They worked on teamwork, good sportsmanship, and of course skills training. I stopped by Bowman Park to enjoy a picnic lunch from nearby Totally Awesome Subs. The park was not overly crowded and I had my choice of several tables to choose from. it was a beautiful afternoon to enjoy a meal outside. Other Bowman Park amenities include two lighted basketball courts, a gazebo, playground, benches, and an exercise path that winds through the park along with some piece fitness equipment that uses your own body weight to tone muscle. The trees throughout the park provide beauty and welcome shade. There is also open area for unstructured play. Note that there no restroom facilities in the park. I found Bowman Park to be clean and well maintained. Whether you're looking to exercise, enjoy a picnic, watch the kids play, or simply relax outside, Bowman Park offers a welcoming space for all.

There are benches to sit at, a walking/running path (trail?) as well as a guided work out area with set activities to accomplish. When we were there, a gentleman was just starting his 15(!) laps around the outside of the park, and a guy was waiting for his frisbee teammates to show up, a mom was supervising her kids play... This is an active park -- and a busy one -- especially on the weekends. It looks groomed and very well maintained.

During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

We were near the restrooms & the children's play area at the entrance of the park which was perfect. The pavilions are nice & the bench seating is comfortable. The grill is spacious & allows for convenience while grilling various items. The weather was a lot windier than hoped for which made keeping the flame lit on the grill a lot more difficult but we managed. I did not use the restroom so I cannot currently comment on the cleanliness & upkeep of the parks facilities. However, outside was very clean. No loose trash was apparent in the grass or elsewhere. No graffiti or other unsolicited markings. A few other guests in the park but not a heavy amount of foot traffic. Most people out with their smaller kids. No signs of pets or the parks pet policy, I could have very well overlooked it though. I'd return on the weekend to bike ride in better weather.

The park was clean and had plenty of parking (two lots) on the day I went, but it is adjacent to a baseball park, so I'm not sure what the parking situation is on a game day. The trail is a walking path/jogging path with exercise stations should you wish to do that as well. There are picnic tables at various places, too. Although a sign says dogs must be kept on leashes, this really isn't a dog park. It's more of an active people park. There's some parking, but not a lot. I imagine on busy weekends, it might be challenging to find a spot. Even on a rainy day, midweek, there were quite a few cars. There is also a picnic pavilion. It can be rented. It has two large grills perfect for groups. I liked this park. Lots to do, but not overwhelming. Glad I stopped by to check it out.

Gaines Park and Community Center is 56-acre park at N. Australian Ave near the Roosevelt Estates…read moreneighborhood. It was built in 1958 and named in honor of A.J. Gaines Jr., the first black parks director. This is one of the largest parks in West Palm Beach. Park amenities include the Gaines Community Center, the Warren Hawkins Aquatic Center with a heated outdoor pool and water slides and many swimming programs, amphitheater, basketball court, picnic tables and pavilions, tennis courts, racquetball courts, restroom, multipurpose field, 4 baseball fields, and walking paths. The Adventure Playground, a castle surrounded by a moat and accessed by a bridge has been closed. It was replaced by a new shaded playground that was unveiled in 2018. The playground is part of a $23 million, five-year plan to upgrade parks and facilities in West Palm Beach. The park is a great asset with many recreational facilities and programs for children including afterschool and camp. This park has been serving the community for many generations and the bond program will make the improvements to take it into the future.

They have a lot of classes and programs and after care. They got a lot of improvements due to a 2020 Parks Bond Referendum. The former beach house that was in poor shape - the old tennis center. 2020, saw new heights - city did it! a new $2 million tennis center and tennis courts that has the South Florida Tennis Program. And there are a ton of tennis players here all the time. It is great to have this park in West Palm Beach! So thank you very much!

The South Olive Park and Community Center has many family friendly amenities. The South Olive Community Center provides classes and programs for the south end of Palm Beach as well as after school care. There is also a really fun looking splash pad for the kids. Much needed improvements to the park were provided by a 2020 Parks Bond Referendum. The old tennis center was a former beach house that had been moved to the park and had been in disrepair for years. In 2020, the city broke ground on a 2 million dollar tennis center and tennis courts that host the South Florida Tennis Program. Hundreds of tennis players are drawn to the courts each week. South Olive Park is a great place to take the kids to play or cool off on a hot day but more than that the tennis and community center anchor the community and bring people together for education and recreation. This park is a treasure for the south end.

The playground is large and has a lot of climbing equipment, slides, and swings. This area of the park also has a covered pavilion with a picnic tables and a portable restroom. A few days ago a woman and her two daughters were shocked by the metal railing leading to the restroom. The city determined it was due to a leaky air conditioning unit on top of the restroom and they have fixed the issue. i would still caution against touching the railing just to be on the safe side. In the immediate area outside the playground there is even more for families to enjoy like a memorial meditation garden and aquatics center with pool, splash zone, and water slide. A brand new 30 million dollar community center is being built with a refurbished gym, wellness studio, cultural art space, art studios, rooms for STEM programs, new restrooms, and more. With the addition of the new community center this corner of Palm Beach Gardens is going to be an impressive gathering place for the community.
