Wrong. There were two simultaneous pasta classes going. Our group seemed to have no clear direction. There were two pasta rollers and each kept malfunctioning with the handles falling off. It was at this point one couple left. It only went downhill from there. My sister kept saying we should just leave but I wanted to learn how to make pasta! And I paid a lot for this class so i was going to learn! But I did not. The revolt began and people just began cooking on their own (which in the end turned out quite well!!) just so we could eat at some point. We could hear the other class drinking wine and sitting down to eat, and our lasagna wasn't even in the oven yet. Another ominous sign. Our chef was very kind but it was clear he was not ready for this. It was my second and last visit to the KC, I walked away with no additional skills. Waste of 3.5 hours (though the class was scheduled for only 2.5) and 65 bucks.

Good place to find gifts (although I always walk out with items for myself). Also, good place for basic staple items. Can be hard to find as it still says Tishee's above the door but worth looking for this store.

They are always excited to assist you and really love it when you share stories of your purchases. My most recent purchase, a large tea towel called, Bartenders Guide, is going to be framed. When I told the owner what I going to do, she asked me to send her a pic when it was completed. She was almost as excited as I was to find this towel and to do something creative with it. They'll teach you about each one too. If you like bourbons or whiskey, I'd highly recommend their Cream Sherry - it won 12th best American wine at the Decanter Wold Wine Competition (The world's largest and most influential wine competition) in recent years (just enjoy slowly - it's 19%!!). Also, they make their wines very affordable! From $11-$40, everything is in reach! (They do have a $75 reserve Norton on the list as of May 2026.) You can enjoy the restaurant on site, shop alllll the wine accessories, relax on their patio above the hills of vines, play a game of corn hole, and pose for a few photos. Several other couples who arrived around the same time were welcomed immediately, but we were left standing there without any acknowledgment. It was uncomfortable and made us feel overlooked in a way no quest should experience. I can't say why we were treated differently, but the contrast was hard to ignore. Because of the lack of attention, we ended up buying only a few bottles- even though we originally planned to purchase two full cases. We also chose not to buy anything from the stores afterward, which is unusual for us, but the experience at the beginning made it difficult to fully appreciate the visit. For a winery with such a strong reputation, I expected a much more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This was a one- star experience for us, and we won't be returning.
