The list was ignored despite the fact that I discussed the list with both the manager and another employee , so items with reserves were sold for as little as one-tenth of our demand. We sell items online and at major local events, so we could have taken the unsold items with us this coming weekend, but our hard work and investment is gone plus a 35 % selling fee to a backward company. Thank god they honored the reserve discussed on one original artwork that is being returned to me. Unless you are selling junk that you care nothing about, do NOT do business with these imbeciles.

The buyers of my parents' home asked if we would leave it and we said sure. We happened to go to the house when his crew was loading up the contents and they had already loaded almost all the furniture. Although there was not any communication about the change in plans, the crew did a good job of clearing out lots of stuff. We called Steve in late Dec. 2011 to ask when the estate sale would be, and he said he didn't know yet. I called in January to ask again, and found out that they already had the sale and hadn't told us. My extended family was upset, since they had wanted to attend.

I was also told that the house would totally be cleaned out and not to worry about anything. He would do his job and all would be completed at the end of the clean out. I saw the beginning of a list being made and felt comfortable with that. An inventory, however, was never presented to me. When the house was supposedly "cleaned out," there were many items still remaining, such as wrapping paper, pillows, sheets, tables, book cases, and many other pieces of furniture, along with trash in the middle of each room. I called him several times and he told me he only took what he thought he could sell. There was lots of "clean-up" for me to do personally, so much so that I had to engage a trash removal company. With the few small payments that were received, none of the items were documented. Requests were made to him to be more specific, but no response came my way. I feel that he extremely misrepresented what he would do and did not follow through with what was initially agreed upon. Do not utilize this auctioneer without having a signed agreement detailing every aspect of the work to be completed.
