The selection is outstanding for a small shop on LBI. the cigars are always fresh. Never got a bad cigar here!!

I was down for day just to finally try Chegg. It's been hard to find Arturo Hemingway. The owner was walking out and his daughter Erika was there. Very nice and knowledgeable. I got the last two Hemingway's. The price was appropriate for the shore and a cigar that is hard to find. I doubt I'll be back since I'm usually not there but you all that smoke cigars or have people coming down that smoke or after dinner or boat or golf, etc., this is the place I'd go read more

I've been going to OTSS for over a year now. I travel all over the try state area and this is the best smoke shop (especially for pipe smokers) I've come across. Pat will order anything you need if it's not in stock, he has a great selection of pipe tobacco (and of course cigars) and even carries estate pipes at reasonable prices. And Gail is a pleasure to speak with, helpfull and just a great person. It's a must go to if you're anywhere near LBI. It's worth the drive. read more

I went in yesterday to get my husbands fav cigar. He sent me in with the label and i was told that that particular cigar was on a waitlist and would be avail soon. Long story short I wanted a tip for cigarellos that don't come with one .The owner? and the woman there were helping me find a tip like I was a customer spending alot of money. I left buying a pack of cigarellos and a plastic tip ...spent 2.00 and change. I was treated like i was spending 200.00 and change. This is one great little cigar shop! The selection was quite excellent for a small store, including carrying a bevy of hot new sticks. Very friendly and helpful staff and a few comfy chairs to enjoy a nice stogie on prem. Also, I was surprised that the prices were reasonable. Much better than northern New Jersey where I live. A great little gem of a cigar shop. I look forward to spending time there when on vacation at LBI, while my wife is shopping. Sometimes I just ride my bike down in the afternoon to enjoy a good cigar with some of the other customers. The owner Pat and his staff are very friendly and helpful, but not pushy. In my many travels, I have yet to find a cigar shop that was not inhabited by a colorful cast of delightful characters, and where the customer was not warmly welcomed. Old Tyme Smoke Shoppe is no exception. As soon as I walked through the front door, Pete the proprietor provided a friendly greeting, and graciously offered his assistance in making a selection. Despite it's size, the shop has a respectable assortment of cigars that could suit any taste, as well as many other tobacco related products. The staff is well informed, but not pushy. There are a few chairs to sit and enjoy your cigar, and a respectable smoke removal system does a fine job of seeing that no one is overcome by smoke. I, personally, found this gem a welcome refuge, while the wife and teen age daughters shopped around. So, keep this place in mind fellas; it's a great place to enjoy a fine cigar and meet new people. Good selection of cigars that are fresh with an even burn which signifies the humidors and product are well cared for. The prices, even though a shore tourist area, are reasonable. The young lady behind the counter is pleasant and helpful and seems to know everyone that comes through the door. I own a rental property and the Olde Tyme business card is in my book of "Places to Go" for my renters. read more

I'm not a cigar aficionado, but I always feel welcome when I visit Olde Tyme. Really friendly folks who will help you if you need it and leave you alone if you don't. I can't opine about their prices since I really don't know but I'm always able to find an affordable stick or two. Old Tyme is a regular stop for me when visiting Long Beach Island. read more
