After the disappointment of the outside appearance you will be pleased to find the inside is packed with culture! They've covered A LOT of culture from around the world and done it in a well organized manner that's easy to follow. Lots of authentic items as well. If you're lucky they may have an event or two going on as well. Overall I liked the experience and would definitely recommend. They're not as known so I hope they get more recognition for their work.

It was a nice walking through it from the very beginning where they had the portraits of scientist that were Christians. The men in the portraits came alive, describing their discoveries. It's been a while, but I do plan on going back and bringing some friends. It is well worth the visit and it takes a long time. Well, worth the time.

Today one of the workers helped me to understand why the Ice Age is a proven time for certain parts of the earth. And she talked about how the Trex was actually more docile and not as aggressive as the movie Jurassic Park portrays. I am not disagreeing with this thought, but I wonder what evidence or whatnot they've found to support this. I'm interested in knowing, not trying to challenge anyone's findings!

When you pull up it's literally just a house with a sign outside with the name on it. When you walk in the place you are hit with an instant animal stench. Not complaining...I mean I get it. To the left was a small souvenir store and the right was an room with a cash register and a table. This room lead into a kitchen where food is prepared for the animals/reptiles. There is also a bird in a cage that lives in there. He is loud and loves attention. Down the hall there is a gender neutral restroom and then the room that holds all the animals/reptiles. The room was small and had many habitats inside. I must say the selection of things to see was awesome! And the presentation of feeding the dragons, lizards, snakes and everything else was totally cool. My three year old loved it!! She was able to help feed and pet many of the reptiles. Just a tip...bring a bug catcher and you could walk away with a walking stick bug! We were bummed when we couldn't take one home. Happy Yelping!

I attended the museum with my sister yesterday and we were greeted by the super friendly staff who btw took group pictures of us and even did a boomerang glitter moment on out Instagram! There's so many beautiful displays where u can take pictures and lots of great artwork displayed by local artists. Theres other locations including one im Shreveport. It takes up half of what used to be the exhibition hall at the Old Arlington convention center. And it looks like it. It also sounds like it. When we were here the other half of the area was being used for the Smurfs experience. Which I totally support and there were lots of young people having a blast. And you could hear all of them. A long with sounds from their experience. I love museums, but they have a certain type of atmosphere for a reason. They were in the old JC Penny building in downtown Arlington for ages. It was old and rather worn, but it didn't feel like you were in a convention hall, I preferred it. Also, parking is $10. Didn't see that on their website, and it would be helpful when you were looking up the location that they mention they are inside the esports arena or the old convention center. It isn't obvious.

Definitely spent hours in here, as there are so many levels, room, activities, etc. Really loved the activities that were super engaging, both for kids and adults. The spots area on the bottom ground floor was super fun and not crowded at all. We started at the near the top floor, by seeing the dinosaur skeletons and learning about fossils. And then we went to the bird area. My kids liked getting to go to the different kiosks to make their dream bird, as well as the bird flight simulator. I very much enjoyed the gem and minerals hall. Every 80s kid had a rock collection when they were growing up -- right??? Well, if you're part of that group, this area is for you. I loved seeing the different gems as well as the giant amethyst geode. This museum has a lot to explore. A lot of it is reading and screen based, though there were enough interactive exhibits mixed in to keep my kids entertained and learning. We would definitely come back!
