They are following the states restrictions and operating at a 33% capacity. I arrived at 10:30 am to get in line. It opens at 11:00. I was 4th in line and didn't get to a parking spot until 11:30. The procedure to get in is intense. Your ticket has to match your id. Then they literally search you entire car- they go through everything and open all bags, coolers, consoles, and glove box. Do not bring alcohol or drugs- they will find it and it's forbidden. Google the story as to why they are so strict- makes sense. Now on to the fun part! The space is beautiful, the water is so clear, and we had a great day of social distancing on the water. People watching was great, and it is somewhat like a float competition to see who has the most fun, instagram worthy float. Be ready to see plenty of fish. The area closest to the parking lot is more "rowdy", younger crowd, verses the opposite side was a little quieter, older crowd. All in all, I will be back now that I know what to expect.

Playground review:…read more Visited on a Friday morning around 9:45 a.m. with my 4-, 3-, and 20-month-old. There was plenty of parking, and I was happy to see a nice outdoor bathroom nearby. When we arrived, it wasn't too crowded, probably around 4-6 kids already there. The playground was great for my older kids, though there were a few areas where my youngest could have fallen out easily. The entire playground has turf surfacing and includes several handicap-accessible play options. I also appreciated the shaded areas with umbrellas, especially later in the morning. By around 10:45, it became much hotter and significantly more crowded, probably closer to 25 kids, though there was still enough room for everyone to play comfortably. One of my favorite features was that the entire playground is fully fenced in, with a latch high enough that young children can't easily let themselves out. Overall, this was a great option for families with multiple young kids because of the secure fencing, accessibility, and easy parking.

Save your money, time and sanity. Go somewhere else. You can teach your child more from YouTube videos than they can.

So it caught my attention. Today after having lunch at Ciao with my wife and my youngest daughter who is one we noticed they had there small spray ground going and it wasn't crowded. It was 90 degrees so we pulled over and said "why not, looks like a cool park". The park has some public restrooms, a tiny skate park, a playground, some swings and a little spray ground. My one year old who just started walking a few weeks ago had yet to experience a splash pad or spray ground so this tiny bit crowded concrete one was a perfect introduction. She loved it! She showed no fear or hesitation and she played hard! The playground was pretty updated and nice and we spent some time on that. I didn't have my older daughters with me but I'm sure they would have loved the skate park. It wasn't very big. But it looked cool and there aren't many skate parks in Louisville so it's nice to know about another one that exists. The only downfall to this park I have to put back on the city. The two trash cans in the parking lot were overflowing. And trash was blowing everywhere. It was obvious someone had a birthday party there over the weekend. We visited on a Monday around 130pm so they had ample time to get a crew out there to touch up. I didn't dare walk in the bathrooms to see them after looking at the trash in the parking lot. Overall still this is a super nice and fun park. Kids are in there last week of school so not sure how crowded this place gets. But if it doesn't get too bad I'd like to take my older kids back for the skate park and let my two youngest go wild in The splash park.

My son is normally pretty slow to warm up to new adults and he took right to Mr. Will. Their lesson went really well and my son was excited to go back! Swimming is something we'd like for him to continue doing for a long time, so having positive first experiences like this is priceless. While we were waiting in the lobby, several of the staff came up and talked to us. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. At the very least no one looked like they were trudging through the day. Lastly, the entire building was meticulously clean and comfortable. I can honestly say that exceeded my expectations. All of these things combined point to the fact that this is a well run organization.

Majority of leagues take place during the fall/winter seasons. They also do training camps for youths pretty much year round. Snack bar has a few snacks available for purchase, with burgers and nachos being the main type fare. The beer selection is primarily domestic, so if you're looking for craft or imported beers this is not your place. Bleachers and floor are all new for 2018, and they look/feel fantastic! New bleachers are 'closed' type bleachers, so drinks, balls, etc do not fall between the levels making it difficult to recover. There are three main courts up front (primary courts for leagues/KIVA camps) with two in the back (that also include drop down basketball courts, though I've never seen them used and I've been playing there for almost ten years). The group that owns/runs this place are phenomenal. Anyone that has played in the Louisville area knows the Kordes name, and they do a solid job running this facility overall. For indoor volleyball in the area, there is no better place to go.
