The fitness room is filled with weights, treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machine, bicycles. I frequent the "silver sneakers" classes led by Anne (no silver sneakers membership required). The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is well maintained and the membership is very reasonable. One can also pay per program or pay a day rate. With the hot weather in the summer, and cold, rainy seasons, I find this is the perfect solution for health and fitness.

I made it clear that my children were not getting back into a pool that had just been contaminated with human waste. Their response? "No refunds." So just be aware: the "No Refunds" policy apparently applies no matter what--even when the reason you're leaving is a biohazard that shuts down the main pool shortly after you arrive. Extremely disappointing customer service. We paid for a day at the pool, not to deal with a sewage incident and then be told we're out of luck.

Oldham County Judge-Executive David Voegele said the Oldham County Aquatic Center Pool at Wendell Moore Park won't open this year, but contrary to social media rumors, it won't permanently close. In a news release Thursday, Voegele said "structural and mechanical problems" last year led to a point where repairs need to be made now. "In each off-season, the Parks Department has worked with a pool vendor to identify and complete needed repairs," Voegele said. "However, last year problems increased - marked by burst pipe connections, failing pumps, a separation of the concrete pool deck from the pool, and a serious water leak which continuously drained chlorine from the pool. Chlorine is critical to keeping the water clean. The situation is such the pool cannot open and the needed repairs will require about 18 months to complete."

It is really a neighborhood pool- kids drop their bikes by the gates and the "regulars" have their usual place to sit and chat. The pool is clean- toddler pool, also, and a sand volleyball court. Sometimes they have a barbecue and events for children- there are swimming lessons and a swim camp. A friend chose it over a closer pool. The "amenities" (food,bathroom, locker room) are very basic. Check it out! (Though you can only get in if you are with a member, you can see everything from outside or get a tour).

The seating to watch games is not the best. If you don't like sitting on the hard stadium seats you might want to bring a folding chair however it is hard too see the field in the areas you can sit. They don't charge admission to see the games so you'll have extra money to go in and buy something from their concession stand. Reasonable prices. The problem I had was with the parking. There is limited parking in the main lot so you may have to park way up in the upper parking lot. Makes for a very long walk up hill.

Not nearly as crowded which makes it more family friendly. The waves aren't as large as the and intense as the "big surf" attraction which was the original and the more popular wave pool. However, this is still fun and you do get some nice and fun wave action. Overall cool and relaxing water attraction at Kentucky kingdom. More of just a place to actually swim like a public pool as it has more room and isn't as crowded as other water wave pools at hurricane bay
