    Sushi catering, delicious!
    Brian H.

Kowalski's is still great for quality food items. We've discovered a few new favorites recently. Cheese/crackers/cured meat is a regular reason for us to come to Kowalski's. They have great options and a large variety. Maple sticks. Go get one right now, then get another for your future self 10 minutes from now, you'll NEED it. I am a huge donut fan, but these things are one of the best breakfast pastries I've ever had. They are bordering on candy bar with the amount of caramel and maple on top, but there's enough dough there to call it breakfast still. Sushi. We are new to the sushi game, but kept hearing that Kowalski's has pretty decent sushi. We tried some last night and it was pretty good. Tasted very fresh. There was hardly any left when we got there at 6:30 because they only make a certain amount each day. I'm looking forward to trying some new varieties next time.

    Morning buns in my mouth

Kowalskis is my number one spot for breakfast as it is conveniently located right next to my work. They have a great bakery selection, I absolutely love their morning buns! They also haver a great selection for lunch on the go, including salads, sushi, fruit cups, and other pre packaged meals along with a big wall full of bottled beverages. If you are in the mood for coffee there is a Starbucks right inside by the checkout. I do not typically shop here for groceries, but I know they have a great selection of produce, and meat. They have just about anything you would be looking for in a grocery store. It is definitely your higher end grocery store. Prices are a bit higher than most but they have good quality food. It is fairly small but I like that because I do not get lost looking for a single item, and If you're looking to quick grab something it doesn't take fifteen minutes to get to the back of the store. However, with a smaller store they do not have everything under the sun. If you are looking for something very specific they may not have the right brand, size, or flavor you are looking for. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and often times they have free samples. By request they will even carry your bags out to your car.

The cheese section is fabulous and the "cheese lady" was incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic.

Every…read moretime I pop in, I find something new--whether it's cookbooks, cards, puzzles, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, clothing....you name it. The selection here feels endless in the best way. Allow yourself some time because the store is pretty big. I especially love coming here when I need a gift or something Minnesota-based as they always have unique, MN-feeling items that hit the mark. It's the kind of boutique where you can happily wander and browse for A WHILE. I haven't had much interaction with staff beyond checkout, and I've noticed they don't typically come out onto the floor--at least not during my last couple of Thursday visits during Marketfest. That said, checkout has always been smooth. Highly recommend if you're in the area and love a good browse through a thoughtfully selected mix of finds! Also, highly suggest joining the rewards program and checking out the clearance section while you're here... there could be some great deals tucked away!

There are 3 parts to this store and you owe it to yourself to experience them all! I started in the style area, which is the clothing part of the store. This is an upscale women's apparel store, with habitat, Liverpool, Johnny Was, and many other upscale brands. All of it is beautifully curated and displayed. You will have fun browsing the racks. The sales associates were super helpful and knew exactly how to interact with people--making customers feel welcome, but not pressured to buy. Downstairs, there is an amazing sales area. Don't miss this gem! Bargains galore and beautiful things! I'm sure it changes regularly. Then stop at the cafe and have a coffee, pastry, or freshly baked cookie. All the treats look and smell delicious. The staff was very sweet and service was prompt. After that, continue shopping at the Good Things gift shop. This is a top notch gift shop the likes of which I rarely see. It is brimming with themed displays for almost every interest or occasion. If you can't find a gift here, you may never find it! Seriously. You can wander in this shop for an entire morning and still not see everything. I hope you stop by Good Things. It's a fabulous shop. Locally owned. Go there for your next gift.

This store is rather large and has a surprising amount of space devoted to things that are not cards. I scoffed at this "gift shop" until I found Xmas presents for both of my parents and one of my cousins when purchasing holiday cards in Nov. Got me! In addition to cards they carry stationary, wrapping paper and accoutrement, seasonal and collectible ornaments, books, CDS and DVDs, toys, knick-knacks and decorations, purses, scarves, jewelry and lotions, candles, candy, kitchen gadgets, and more. Three things I especially like about Hallmark products: the wrapping paper is very good quality and has cut guides on the inside, every holiday season (or perhaps all the time?) they carry cards that benefit charities such as Unicef, and they have a section of 99 cent cards, which is great since greeting cards are like the most overpriced consumer good out there. The service at this location is pretty friendly. There's a big parking lot because it's in a shopping center. Also on the 80 and 64 bus lines. As long as I live on the EastSide, Laura's Hallmark will have my business.
