I was quoted a cost of $20, because due to the construction of the shoes he would need to hand sand them, rather than use a machine. Totally get that. And $20 for a pair of shoes I already love and that are very comfortable and I will continue to wear...seemed like a deal. And it was! The shoes when picked up were a slightly darker color (we discussed that, it was expected) and ready to wear. The insole clean up was decent and at least not embarrassing to wear like they would have been. Payment was due at initiation of service/when dropping off the item(s). Only downside was they weren't ready at the first date he told me for pick up. I had some wiggle room time though so over all it was ok, it just meant extra driving around town and a bit of worry that they might not be ready by the new date (but they were!). I was happy with my service and would consider him again in the future!

I wasn't made aware of this until the order arrived from The Mower Shop. The inventory specialist at this shop undoubtedly dropped the ball on this one. Additionally, The Mower Shop defers it shipping to a company called Shopify. Accordingly, I received two different shipping charges for the three spindles. The Mower Shop charged me $82.19, and Shopify claimed I should have been charged $39.53. When I called The Mower Shop and requested a reconciliation of the shipping charges, the customer service agent disavowed any knowledge of the Shopify email sent me. Lana then became both argumentative and contentious over the issue. This is the result of a company who subcontracts their shipping responsibility to a separate company and then refuses to accept the errors of either The Mower Shop or Shopify. I recommend you find a Grasshopper sanctioned dealer who processes the order correctly AND does their own shipping to ensure the order is error free and requires few, if any, contacts between the customer and argumentative employees.

I called and asked if they sharpened push mowers…read more The guy who answered was very nice and ran down all the costs ($8 per blade, but an extra charge if they have to do x, y and z differently, etc). So I load up my mower and drive over there. Initially they are very nice and helpful, the shop is very tidy and well laid out, but the minute I open the car hatch he says "oh don't even take that out, we don't service that brand" WHAT At no time was I ever told there might be a brand they don't service?? Then he sends me 7 miles in another direction (to a shop where they took the mower from me no problem). An absolute waste of my day. If someone calls to ask about service you might want to ask what brand they have so as not to waste someones time.

A month later she called me to inform they've "overhauled" my watch and I owed $280!! I picked up and paid de grudgingly. The following week I noticed the spots from condensation on the watch's face were still present. I retuned to protest and asked if watch man could try cleaning with a Qtip with alchohol. They kept my watch for another full month! I called back and was told watch man couldn't do annything but they could send it out !?? I don't believe anny Watch man exists. I was told the the older man that knows watches died and I only see his female assistant now !!
