What a great way to spend a couple of hours outdoors doing something new!…read more I have never tried sporting clay before. I did not even know there is a difference between shooting trap and sporting clay. The lady at the counter is very helpful. She explained that they have a sporting clay course that consists of 12 stations along a wooded path. We will follow the path on a map and find the different shooting stations. Since we have never been out here, she also came out to a station to show us how to use the wired as well as wireless clay throwers. I am so glad we came out to shoot that day! It was a chilly but sunny day. The course winds through some very pretty terrain including valleys and open fields. It is well maintained. All but one of the thrower switches were in good working order. I want to compare it to golf: you walk along a path and accomplish a goal at each station. Each station has random degrees of difficulty. There are two or three electronic throwers at each station. You can choose to throw one or two clay at a time...depending on your skill. I am a first timer...needless to say, I did not get lucky too many times. But hubby, who is not a first timer, LOVED the course and everything about it. He had the biggest grin on his face I have ever seen! Yes, we will definitely be back for more.

We used this range yesterday (3-11-26). The ammo that we purchased (Ammo Inc. .45 caliber ) at…read morethis facility that day, was faulty. It was over packed and resulted in a catastrophic failure of our gun. We informed staff and showed them the casing which staff even stated was definitely defective. DO NOT buy this ammo. I wouldn't purchase any ammo they sell. Bring your own. Otherwise, you may end up in the same situation. The staff took no steps to remove that specific ammo while we were there. And I'm sure they will still continue to sell what they have. They also seemed very unconcerned with the whole situation. The staff was more interested in the basketball game that they were watching In the lobby.

I have been attending the American Shooters Pistol League. This is from beginners to the advanced…read more They have different scenarios at each event. You will be shooting at different targets that require movement, you will shoot in low light or no light which will require you to have a flashlight on hand or on your pistol, you could be shooting while sitting down then having to get up and move towards another target. You will be drawing from your holster while concealed. All these are very important practices to have for real case scenarios instead of just shooting at a standstill target, which is what we all do while shooting at an inside range. You will be scored, but it's all educational, fun, and in a very friendly and welcoming environment. The next event will be in June. If interested in the events, reach out to them by phone or FB.
