I love this place for my specials event, decoration is beautiful, food is really good, drinks.

I had my 60th Birthday party at Olga's on Tamiami last Friday, the theme was breakfast at Tiffany's with over 120 guest and it was a hit. I want to thank the Olga's staff because if not for them it wouldn't have been nearly as special. Speaking of special, Wilfred, Juan Carlos and his team went above and beyond to help make everything perfect. From the time they gave us to set up, the friendliness and patience of his waitering staff and the bartender and specially the DJ. He was one of the most talented DJ's I've ever had and I've have been hosting parties at Olga's both personal and professionally for over twenty five years. He accommodated our own playlist for the entrance and dinner and then spun 80's, 90's music for our older friends and nailed it with the young crowd with the latest hits that they love. At Olga's one feels like they are dealing with family. They are so accommodating and professional that planning a party is a pice of cake with no stress. Thank you Wilfredo and your very well trained staff for making my 60th so unforgettable! Love you all, Waleska, can't wait for the next one. read more

Recently, a hundred of us gathered for a cousins family reunion. The organizers shopped around and found this little pearl in west Miami. You wouldn't know it from the plaza that it's located in, but this venue, with several halls, held us together comfortably--with ample room for dining, drinking, dominoes, and our favorite "d" word: dancing! They offer great wedding, Quinceaneras, Sweet 16s and other packages for your special event. We were allowed to bring our own store-bought appetizers. For the main entrée we were served Cuban-style Arroz Imperial, maduros, Caesar salad, and hot bread & butter. The dessert was one of the best, if not the best Buttercream cake (which tasted like a dry version of Tres Leches). Best I've ever had; anywhere! And everyone was raving about the Open Bar. Speaking of, I hope the owners expand their vision and open a banquet hall here in Broward--I'm definitely a fan! read more

Went in to look for my daughter sweet 16 and the old man looking like Don Francisco was disgustingly rude he took 1 look at us [not cuban] and just pointed and said the bar is there the bathroom over there this room hold 200 ppl and that was it . Just had my baby shower this weekend and everything was perfect! We were a bit worried at first because of some of the bad reviews on here but thankfully our experience was completely different. The stage was set up beautifully, the food was great, the service spectacular. We will definitely come back for our next event. read more

This place brought back serious memories. I had my "quinceaneras" here about a millennium ago and I remember the food being fantastic as the service. The services have not changed much and honestly the food was pretty good this past time I was here. My sons VPK hosted a small graduation and party for the students. It was pretty well priced at $30 a plate for us. The party was for about 4 hours. Music was great and varied. I am not sure if their particular package came with the DJ or got their own. The service was good. The waitresses were a little scattered but they were attentive. There was nothing spectacular about this place this time around however it wasn't bad either. If I decide to have a small party for someone I wouldn't mind booking it. It is nice and the prices are decent. read more

Let me start off by saying that I thought this place was going to be a disaster. Here's the deal, because it is in a very typical Cuban shopping center where Valsan is located, it gives you the impression that it will not be very attractive, on the contrary, it's lovely and beautiful. The salon is adorned with lights of your choosing and you can pick and choose the decor you desire. We went for a 15ns and because I do Floral Arrangements we opted to do the decorations ourselves. They put the linings and furniture as well as lighting. The staff was so so nice and friendly. They let us get there earlier to finish the decoration. Strongly recommended it. The food could be improved though that's why I give them four stars. It wasn't great. read more

Super disappointed with this banquet hall I expected more from them I'm currently pregnant and due to the corona virus I will not be having my baby shower they don't want to give me my money back what type of people are this knowing that it's not up to us but that I have to protect myself from the virus and not understanding the situation they said they will give me a year to celebrate anything else this is not a quince or wedding I can postpone they told me oh u signed a contract no contract should be validated right with all this going on they should instead understand the situation and return the money back because with that money I was planning on buying my daughter everything since the baby shower is canceled now idk what to do or how will I buy her everything! read more

Realize mi baby shower en este lugar lo cual fue horrible servicio, cuando llegue al local nada de la decoración estaba como fue acordada con la decoradora, pedí hablar con el manager porque me habían puesto unos centros de mesa horribles y les faltaban las flores que se habían acordado ponerles. El manager apareció 15min antes del evento a disculparse por las flores que el no sabía que los centros de mesa eran con flores y que ya no podían conseguir flores a esa hora que me iban a cambiar los centros de mesa y me pusieron los primeros que encontraron por allí desde allí me arruinaron el evento porque no fue como se había acordado y aparte de eso el local no se veía bien así y me estoy gastando un buen dinero porque quiero algo bonito y es frustrante que no salga como "se planea". El DJ en vez de estar haciendo su trabajo que es poniendo la música estaba en la barra haciendo cuentos con las meseras y el animador. La comida sirven una miseria y el cake ni se diga te dan a probar nomas y la mesera se molestó porque le pedí más, yo pague para 60 invitados y nomas asistió la mitad de ellos eso quiere decir que ellos se están quedando con el resto de comida y cake y se molestó que pidiera otro pedazo?? porque la verdad lo que sirvieron fue para probar nada más como si era un sample. Pague animador y el animador no duró ni 15min y despareció. Les recomiendo a las personas con eventos a realizar que busquen otro local donde escuchen lo que el cliente pide y que cumplan con su trabajo el día del evento! read more

I was part of a wedding that took place at the Hialeah Garden location recently. The place was absolutely gorgeous but that was marred by the fact that the FOOD was TERRIBLE. Everyone sent their food back because the chicken along with the rest of the DISH was HARD AND SALTY. This venue should be ashamed. We had an OPEN BAR with NO FOOD to absorb. Bad bad combo. But luckily we are a classy bunch and there was no chaos. I was so looking forward to eating after a hard day of wedding partying! My highlight of the night was the box of thank you mints. They couldn't even do bread correctly. The BREAD TASTED LIKE CARDBOARD! REALLY really SHAMEFUL and I know the venue was up there in price. I hope my dear friend got a refund for the ATROCITY that was the menu. read more

so, I'll start with the good stuff: bathrooms are clean, ultra Fantastic sound system, we were in one of the bigger rooms that was very nice and clean.....ok now the bad stuff: food was TERRIBLE!! .....now the big one,: I ordered a Black Label scotch on the rocks and it wasn't Black Label, they put some rot gut scotch in a Black Label bottle.....I reported this to the manager and told him i,ve been drinking BL for 45 years and i know the color and taste..... I told him I was reporting this to the alcohol and tobacco agency monday morning ( which I didn't do) because he immediately put a real bottle of BL behind the bar and got rid of the fake one........... read more

I held an awards banquet at the southwest 8th Street location in salon C and I was incredibly happy with the outcome! The prices are extremely economical and the halls are very attractive. I usually don't favor the look of most banquet halls, but the look here is much more modern than most others and it's very elegant. It's located in a shopping center that does not do it justice. The office staff, coordinators, bartender, and wait staff were all very professional and courteous. We had a last-minute emergency with one of our trophies and they did everything they could to help. The flamingo chicken was excellent! The wait staff even gave us the leftover cake to take home which rarely happens in Miami. I will definitely begin holding our events here each year! read more

I had my babyshower here January 21 on a Sunday. I was very worried things might not turn out as planned since I never had an event/party here. The plaza that it's in does not do it any justice. Everything came out beautiful! I would recommend this Reception Hall for a wedding or any event that you have. The food, the service of the bartender and servers, juan Carlos the manager did an exceptional job as an MC. Everything was amazing and looked beautiful. I hosted my mom's 75th birthday party here. Can't say enough about how great it was. Package was fairly priced and included food, cake, open bar, linens, lighting, and dj. Made it so easy for me. I held my daughter's 15's at the location on 8 street and 122 ave and all honestly, all I can say is wow! Everything from the price, food, decorations, cake, music, alcohol, and attention was truly amazing! Juan Carlos and Olga worked with us from day one to make sure everything my daughter wanted and pictured her day to be would come to life. Yes, the shopping center and outside is not the best, but like my daughter says who cares. Once, you are inside you forget about the outside. I wanted to have my Daughert sweet 16 party and found the location to far ! I paid them on Friday and realized it was to far for my guest over the weekend and call on Monday Juan Hernadez told me that it wasnt fair for me to cancel because my guest couldn't drive down there it was not his problem and i could not have my money back cause they held it for me for two days! I wish I could give this Banquet Hall zero stars but there was no other way to submit this review. In February, my mom and I had planned to start looking for venues in order to celebrate my 18th Birthday/ Graduation. We came across Olga's Reception Hall and decided to host my party there. My mother has been planning this party for 2 years because I never had any sort of big celebration including a sweet sixteen due to our financial status. This party was her way of giving me something nice for working hard all 12 years in school and being able to get into a good school and go away for college. Although the pandemic had not yet reached Florida at the time, my mom began gaining doubts about whether or not we should continue planning. 3 weeks after, my mom called Juan Carlos and wanted to cancel the party. He managed to sweet-talk out of cancelling it talking about how "the pandemic isn't going to come here ". When the pandemic came, my mom called again and he again tried avoiding the idea of a refund by saying "let's wait for the state's orders". Florida shut down a few days after where only essential businesses were open. Juan Carlos said he couldn't help me at moment as my files were still at the office and he was at home. He promised to call ALL customers as soon as they reopened. Once places started opening up again, my mom didn't hear from him for two weeks. She then decided to call him herself and Juan Carlos said that Olga's Reception Hall would NOT be returning any payments made to their company. He offered a one-year window for my family to host a party another time at their hall, which doesn't make sense as i will be going away to college for 4 years. Juan Carlos said any concerns we had were to be taken to the corporation. He gave us their number and when we called , Juan Carlos was the one who answered and said he was in charge of answering all calls for the corporation. After again denying my mother's refund request , my mom threatened to take him to court and he told us to go ahead. Now my family is stuck with paying interest on a credit card while this man is enjoying our untouched money. Free money in his pockets, the same money that I could be using to buy necessities for college, the same money my mom can be using to buy groceries for our family 7 during this rough time. I bet he's getting loans from the government from his little business. My point is, Juan Carlos may look nice when he wants business but believe me, an 18 year old girl who isn't stupid, when I say these people could care less about what situation you might be in when it comes to refunds. PLEASE consider other businesses.There are so many other places that are probably way better, way more worth it, and probably have way more empathy. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH JUAN CARLOS PERIOD. read more

We've used this location for parties, kindergarten graduations and staff Christmas parties. Very clean location, service is great and open bar serves good drinks. The appetizers aren't the best and unless you go with a set playlist the DJ can at times repeat music. I had previously written a review regarding the lack of compassion by the staff at Olgas Banquet Hall. You see my daughter was one of the many that Im sure faced a similar situation. She had to cancel her venue due to the Coronavirus. My past review highlighted the fact that they were not even willing to give a partial refund, considering my daughter had to cancel her baby shower months in advance. They kept 100% of her funds, since she had paid in full. During a time when everyone was loosing jobs and worried about the economy. Olgas Banquet Hall Staff simply told her to hire an attorney. Not willing to work with her considering they had been paid for food, drinks and services that were never rendered. Well I took down my review because Mr. Juan Carlos told my daughter..."have your mom remove the review and you will get your money back". Plainly, HE LIED. Businesses such as this one were entitled to government loans to help with situations like this. However this gentleman simply lied, or I dare use the word black mail. He told my daughter she would get her refund if I took down the review. No refund and she was told "hire an attorney". In a time when businesses are helping the community, this is the response we get. Not a problem, if that is how he wants to play this, we will do as he asks. However, we wont have to hire one,we plan on blasting them via NBC Responds as well as with Help Me Howard and any other media willing to listen.In addition, I believe it is my duty to let everyone know what kind pf place of business this is. Not only are they lacking compassion during times like this, they simply are liars, and unprofessional. Do not give your business or your event to Olga's Banquet Hall. They do not care for the community that built them. These are special circumstances and instead of working with their customers and community, they think only of themselves. Must be because the receptionist at this location needs additional plastic surgery. (???)...I cant understand how they can keep the funds from all the patrons affected my a national crisis when even the Government is offering assistance to small businesses etc. Keep this in mind for your next even. They give YOU a deadline to pay upfront 100%, and yes you sin a contract, but in a worldwide pandemic or natural disaster beyond your control, they do not return anything even when under these circumstances families are struggling with unemployment and putting food on the table. Again, my daughter paid 100% for food,drinks, DJ, Banquet Hall, entertainer, decorations.....everything, none of these services were used or consumed, yet they have the right to keep her money. Don't give them use next event Miami. They are, simply, liars, blackmailers and evidently can't properly manage their facilities. Go anyplace else, use Banquet Halls and businesses that support our community when needed, not one like Olga's. Simply put, if they take funds and nothing rendered in return....THEY ARE THIEVES! Remember, we are all supposed to be in this together and support each other. Apparently this place cares nothing for their customers. i am appalled at the idea that they know someone is giving birth amidst a worldwide pandemic and you will not return monies to a family expressing a need for a refund during this time of crisis. Keep this in mind and take your money some place else for your next celebration. They do not deserve support from a community they do not respect or support. THIEVES, LIARS! read more

The waiters and waitresses here seem conflicted by the amount of people they have to serve and have no system...Not enough bread for a table, did not evenly disperse salads, never got water refills until asked for. I booked Salon A for my daughter's graduation party from Grad school. I loved Salon A because it is modern and suited the theme of my party and number of guests perfectly. Please note that the picture on site is not for the hall that I booked. Guillermo, Juan Carlos and Olga are amazing. They treated us like royalty and provided everything that I asked for. If you are looking for a very nice and elegant place to celebrate any occasion I highly recommend it. Even though it is located in a strip mall, once you get inside it is a different world. We selected the flamingo chicken, rice pilaf and red potatoes for dinner. Absolutely delicious! Even the picky eaters of my family loved the food. The chicken was juicy, tasty, the rice fluffy. The food was served warm; not reheated or dried-out. The bar offered premium liquor and the drinks were not watered down as in some places. The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. There was not a single guest who had any complaints or negative comments. Noelio, the DJ, played great music and was very accommodating and attentive to special requests. He rocked the house! I have received only compliments and that is a big accomplishment when you throw a party. Thank you Olga, Guillermo, Juan Carlos, Noelio, and all of the service staff for making my party so special. Would not have been the same without your attention to detail. My family and I are forever grateful. I just got married there, literally 2 days ago. It was affordable and included almost everything. I dont like that it was difficult to get a hold of the people who worked there. The man, Jose, was too nonchallant in attending to my needs. I wish they had more cake designs. But other than that, I didnt have an MC and the photographers which OBH provided, freestyled and filled it in for me. Again, it was affordable, clean, classy, and yet simple. I wish the DJ wouldve been more familiar with Latin music. At the end of the day, the food wasnt bad, there were enough seats for everyone, my family had a blast, and the pictures came out great. I would recommend it here, but this is place is not for the super uptight person who wants extreme perfection. Again, it is budget friendly. read more
